It is true that people are constantly trying to make a living, whether they are people living on the island or people living on the land. Everyone is trying to improve their lives in their own way. The lives of the people of Cuba are also a part of this struggle.
That is not what we were discussing but the fact you said it is hard to do some steps back if used to the luxury of energy and petrol today.
I told you that of you have to you can and that those in Cuba are the living example if it. They are without petrol, without cars, for the biggest part of the day and night without electricity, without food, without clothes and medication. Simply because nothing is available. If they can do it, we can too!
It is true that if a person tries, he can do anything, but when it comes to comfort, he prefers to find his own comfort. However, according to the topic under discussion, a person should keep trying to move forward and not go backward.
Who says it is going backwards if the world uses fewer petrol, the nature is saved and people can live more in pace and peace instead of the continue stress?
There will be a moment than one should say: This is enough for me. I don't need more. I can do with less and still have a good life.
Being one with mature, following the rhythm of the sun and moon might be more healthy than following the rules of a greedy oligarch.
You can't apply your point to everyone because everyone else prefers ease over hardship. After the advent of petrol, everyone is moving towards ease and convenience, and now no one likes a life of hardship.
And still we all have hardships. I can imagine a few steps back can also bring more peace of mind, more socializing, showing what counts more in life.
Comfort comes in many ways but at the end of the day all we need is: a bed, water and food and knowing we are appreciated.
I did many steps back, from the life I used to live. My life became way better, not worse.

It's exactly like that. Ever since the heat has arrived, the constant worry of light has pushed us back to the past. Gas load shedding has caused a separate concern.
We don't have gas but will buy a bottle asap since just relying on electricity isn't a wise thing to do if you ask me.
In our country too, the practice of using Hijri stoves is gradually increasing and people are starting to buy electric stoves instead of gas, but this is not a solution to the problem because electricity costs us a lot if we use electric stoves.
