RE: An investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy
It sounds as though it’s the same everywhere. Here, canals and waterways are regularly dredged, even though waste is collected (for a fee, mind you – which explains a lot; not everyone has a pile of cash lying around to get rid of something old for which a disposal fee was already paid when we bought it).
If we don’t deal responsibly with the things we no longer want or need, sooner or later we’ll have to pay the price.
In this country, you can sell your appliances to recyclers. In fact, they resell them and make a profit. It's not fair to throw these things in the creek .We all know that recyclers can profit from all of this, even mattresses. They take out what's inside and sell it. All of this generates money for recyclers.
