War of Independence and the Importance of Our Murals

Hello dear Steamian friends,

An important event in Bangladesh's history is the 1971 War of Independence. This war of independence, which began on March 26, 1971, lasted for 9 long months. The people of Bangladesh fought for political discrimination, economic oppression, and their own rights.

On December 16, 1971, the autocratic rulers were defeated. Bangladesh gained independence. Bangladeshis of all classes participated in that war for 9 long months. Students, teachers, farmers, and the entire public of the country participated in this war. During the war, everyone had one wish: to give their lives if necessary, but not to return after achieving independence. They did so by protecting their honor. We achieved independence at the cost of millions of lives. Today, we can talk about our rights, we can claim ourselves as citizens of an independent state, and no one can illegally paint their eyes if they want.
Such freedom has come in exchange for the honor of millions of mothers and sisters, such freedom has come in exchange for thousands of innocent and fearless lives.
After achieving independence, we have created murals of those immortal martyrs in different parts of the country to keep the memory of those immortal martyrs alive. Especially, murals have been created in almost all schools and college premises to keep the memory of the Liberation War alive, so that we remember those who sacrificed their lives during the war for our happiness.

So that future generations do not forget the real history of the country, just as they sacrificed themselves in the need of the time, the martyrs in the murals are saying in a symbolic way, you too should be prepared, you will have to sacrifice your lives in your need.
The murals in different parts of the country inspire us and encourage us. Love for the country helps to build goodwill. Today, we respectfully remember those great soldiers whose lives we were able to achieve our desired freedom, and we also pay tribute to the murals because these murals help us remember our past history.
