It's impossible! How will the author create a new password if he cannot log into his account !? This is where the problem is! You need to enter your account, settings, generate a password ... But how to enter?
Oh damn! If they are not even able to access their accounts, then I would suggest that they contact their recovery accounts. The recovery account holder would be able to generate a new password for them.

The users can start their account recovery by heading over to https://steemitwallet.com/recover_account_step_1 . Then changing their master password should work. @olesia
