Today I will share my entry to this awesome competition.As part of the Transportation in My Area competition, I will be reviewing Court Railway Station in Rajshahi.

What is the common means of transportation in your community? Tell us, including the location of the transportation

A very popular and common mode of transportation in my area is the train. The main and central railway station of this area is located in Rajshahi Court, which plays an important role in safe transportation. The Rajshahi Court Railway Station that I reviewed is known as an important railway station in Rajshahi city. It is located near the Court area of ​​Rajshahi city and is about 5 kilometers away from the main Rajshahi Railway Station.

Rajshahi Court Railway Station plays an important role in regional rail communication and is operated under the Pakshi Division of Bangladesh Railway. Rajshahi Court Railway Station is convenient for the court area of ​​Rajshahi city, the surrounding residential areas and local passengers. Although it is not as big as the Rajshahi Main Railway Station, it is still an important station for passenger movement on certain routes. This station eases the quality of life of the common man.

Which mode of transportation system do you use more often in your community and why?

In my area, I use battery-powered autos and rickshaws more, because battery-powered autos and rickshaws are quite popular and easily available for short distances. The number of autos and rickshaws in my area is high, so they are available quickly. In other cases, rickshaw or auto fare is affordable. They are convenient for short distances.

Rickshaws or battery-powered autos are very useful for traveling to the market, railway station, school or office. You can reach your destination faster than walking or slow vehicles. There is some protection from the sun or rain. Battery-powered autos and rickshaws are more popular in the Rajshahi Court Railway Station area near me because it is known to the locals as one of the main means of fast and low-cost transportation to the station, court, market and surrounding areas.

How affordable, safe, and convenient is the transportation system in your community?

The transportation system in my area is affordable and convenient. Especially battery-powered autorickshaws and rickshaws are easily available and the fare is also within the reach of the common man. It is very effective for traveling short distances. Traffic rules have been introduced on the roads to provide safety. In many cases, accidents occur due to the carelessness of drivers.

Therefore, it is essential for the driver to fully comply with the traffic rules and some vehicles also need to be properly maintained. It is important for both passengers and drivers to comply with the traffic laws and travel safely. The common man can freely move from one place to another at a low fare. Passengers feel comfortable traveling at an affordable fare.

Tell us the challenges that you and other commuters face with the transportation system and the improvements you would like to see.

Among the problems we face with the transportation system, the most significant problem is traffic congestion. The poor condition of some roads in our area, carrying excess passengers, and reckless driving. Especially in the case of battery-powered autorickshaws, drivers often do not follow traffic rules, which increases the risk of accidents. We want road development, strict implementation of traffic laws, training of drivers, and the establishment of a safe and orderly transportation system. This will make the travel of passengers safer and more comfortable.

What advice would you give to a visitor who is about to use the local transportation system in your community for the first time?

I would advise any first-time visitor to our area to check the fare to the destination before starting the journey. Agree on the fare with the driver as this is very important for the journey. I would advise keeping your personal belongings safe with you while using battery-operated autos or other local transport. Being careful while crossing the road and asking for directions from locals when needed is very important for a safe journey. And I would definitely advise first-time visitors to our area to travel during the day so that the journey is easier and safer.
