I will post about the Atrai River. It is located in Dinajpur city. I went there for my college picnic 2 years ago. We had a lot of fun there. The place has probably improved a lot now. When we went. It was still quite beautiful. To go to this place, you have to go to Dinajpur. Dinajpur is about 90 kilometers away from our house.

Mohanpur Atrai River is located in Shankarpur Union of Chirirbandar Police Station in Dinajpur district. There is a place called Rubberdrum here. This Rubberdrum was launched in 2013. This Rubberdrum has benefited the people of Chirirbandar village a lot. The government had budgeted for the construction of the Rubberdrum. This Rubberdrum is located over a vast area. People come here every day. They visit it. A lot of tourists come here. Especially during Eid, there are more people. Young boys come here to bathe. But the place is a little scary. Every year many people die here due to carelessness while bathing.

I like all the places. But I like to walk in the river. The river is huge. And the environment there is very beautiful. I like to walk around the river. I like the sight of fishing in the river. During the rainy season, when fishermen catch fish in the river, I like to stand and watch it. I also like to bathe in the river water. When the fresh water of the river touches the body, a different feeling is created in the mind.

The river water has become toxic due to untreated waste from factories and plastic. As a result, the life of aquatic plants and animals is now facing a serious threat. And the oxygen level in the water has decreased significantly. When the river dries up or the flow is obstructed, the groundwater level in the surrounding area drops, which disrupts agricultural work. Every year thousands of hectares of land are lost to river erosion. Which causes disaster for the local population. Water pollution, unplanned dam construction and excessive sand mining are disrupting fish reproduction. And many aquatic animals are now extinct.
