The way the teachers and residents of Lhokseumawe are keeping this tradition alive in these busy and self-centered times is quite remarkable. In my opinion, there is no alternative to such cooperation to keep the foundation of any society strong. The challenge mentioned in particular in connecting the younger generation with tradition is very relevant. When the youth are currently moving away from their roots due to the influence of foreign culture, if they are not involved in this service work, these beautiful practices will soon become just a memory. The spontaneous participation of school teachers and female guardians and the message of social harmony being given through cleaning religious places deserve praise.
