I visited Nasarawa State and the Akwanga Local government area, where I visited which I went to the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, which is located in Akwanga which is closer to the federal Highway.

What type of service location did you visit? Briefly describe it.

Temple is the type of service location that I visited. The name of the temple is called St. Patrick Catholic Church, Akwanga, Nasarawa State which is a parish within the Catholic diocese of Lafia. The church usually hosts regular Sunday masses, special sacramental celebrations, weekday services, and also pastoral visits, confirmations, and weddings.

The church is an old church that has been around for more than 20 years now. It was built by foreign missionaries who left for the people of Akwanga. The location is in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Nigeria along the Abuja-Akwanga highway. It is just by the roadside

What are the roles and responsibilities of a mosque Imam and Muazzin, and a temple priest?

The roles and responsibilities of a priest, who is called the Reverend Father, are organising regular Sunday mass, CYON (Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria) activities, Laity Council meetings, and sacramental preparation. Also, the priest holds masses for the faithful departed and community outreach.

The Sunday Mass times are usually 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 9:00 AM to 12:00 Pm which is two masses on every Sunday due to the large number of members. The church is often filled with members each time there is mass.

The environmental impact of the church is characterised primarily by initiatives aimed at greening, pastoral care in line with environmental stewardship, and community beautification.

The church has a large landscaping, ornamental trees, and promotes a green environment within its premises. As for community impact, the church acts as a gathering hub for hosting masses, funeral masses, and pastoral visits that promote community cohesion.
