A few days ago, I visited a tourist area with my beloved family. I took advantage of the long end-of-school-year holiday to clear my mind and bring joy to my cherished children. We traveled in our private vehicle to the Gayo Highlands, located approximately 100 kilometers from our home in the city of Lhokseumawe. We specifically headed to Bener Meriah Regency, a region renowned for its natural beauty not only among the people of Aceh but also beyond the province's borders.

Bener Meriah Regency is a highland area in Aceh Province, situated at an elevation of 1,000 to 1,600 meters above sea level. This altitude gives the region a cool, refreshing climate. It has become a key tourist destination for the province, which is famously known as the "Serambi Mekkah." Its stunning natural scenery attracts visitors from both within and outside Aceh. One such beautiful tourist spot in Bener Meriah Regency is located in Ketipis Hamlet, Blang Tampu Village, in the Bukit District.

This area is highly strategic, situated close to the town center and various public facilities ranging from government offices (such as the Regent's Office) and the General Hospital to Rembele Airport. Located in this area is an accommodation known as Villa Ketipis. The atmosphere and natural surroundings of the Kampung Blang Tampu area are truly exceptional; visitors are treated to a delightful experience in a setting that offers tranquility and breathtaking natural beauty.

Villa Ketipis is an excellent choice for those vacationing in Bener Meriah Regency. Although the property is modest in size comprising just five villas it excels in many respects, offering both quality service and very affordable rental rates. My family and I stayed there, booking two villas for a total of IDR 800,000 (or the equivalent in 1124 Steem) per night. Each villa is quite spacious, fully equipped with amenities, and can accommodate up to six people.

Guests can enjoy various activities right outside their units, such as grilling fish for a family meal or fishing in the pond located in front of the villas. One minor drawback is the lack of nearby restaurants or shops selling essentials; guests need to travel a few minutes to find shopping options, though the roads and other infrastructure are quite adequate. Additionally, the parking area is spacious enough to accommodate a large number of vehicles belonging to the guests.
