SLC-S33/W5 | Beyond the Map : The Living Heritage
Assalamu alaikum friends,
This is @jannat7
From Bangladesh
Today I will share with you all the review of a cottage industry shop. The name of the shop that I will share with you all is Rabiul Cottage Industry Shop and this shop is located in Companiganj, Noakhali. If anyone wants to come here, they can come here very easily according to this location because it will be much easier to come here according to the location. As a result, everyone will be able to find the shop very easily. The whole environment of this shop was very beautiful to see. I really liked the whole environment. Every product in this shop is of very good quality and every product is very beautifully arranged, which is why the shop looks very beautiful.
1.Where is this place located, how can visitors reach it, and when did you visit it?
Actually, I went to a very beautiful cottage industry shop. The name of the cottage industry shop I went to is Rabiul Kutir Shilpa and this shop is located in Companiganj, Noakhali. If anyone wants to come here, they can come here very easily. I think it is very easy to come here because of the location. If visitors want to come here, they can come according to this location. I visited this shop mainly in the afternoon because I really like visiting such places in the afternoon and I usually go out at this time, so I visited the place right now.
2.What tradition, craft, occupation, food culture, or community practice makes this place culturally significant?
I think the different types of crafts have made this place culturally significant because we are all very familiar with these traditional things. There are many cultures associated with them which create a different kind of significance, but what is most culturally significant is the use of these things and their proper use. I think this place is culturally significant and all these things are really very important for everyone and everyone still uses them a lot.
3.How has this heritage been preserved and passed from one generation to another?
I think this tradition has been preserved through people because the previous people used them the most and they preserved them beautifully and someone taught the next generation how to use them, through which they are preserved very well and gradually each person can learn about this and can use them very easily, through which it has been passed down from one generation to another and I think it will be passed down much more in the future.
4 How does this living heritage contribute to the local community or economy today?
This life is a tradition. Today, the local community is contributing a lot because everyone uses these a lot. Due to their use, everyone has a lot of convenience in doing any work and our tradition is deeply involved with this because the people of the local community can make their money much easier by using such things and for this, it is the local community that has contributed the most. Currently, we see less use of all these things, but still, if we pay attention, we will see that they are still used.
5.What can visitors see, learn, or experience here that helps them understand the local culture and heritage?
If visitors come here, they will learn a lot about the heritage. If everyone knows our ancient heritage, I think everyone will like it a lot. They will be able to see it in a very beautiful way. They will be able to enjoy its beauty in their own way. Moreover, they will be able to learn about the ancient heritage and gain many beautiful experiences. By gaining these experiences, I think it will be much easier for them to understand the local culture and heritage because if they know about it, they will be able to understand these things.
6.What challenges could threaten this heritage, and what can be done to help preserve it for future generations?
In fact, I think that the current digital gadgets can ruin this tradition because nowadays many kinds of things are used to replace all these things. In fact, all these things are enough to erase these traditions. Due to various digital things, their use is decreasing day by day and this can threaten this tradition. To preserve it for future generations, its use must be beautifully presented in front of everyone so that everyone understands its importance and arrangements must be made to present these traditions to everyone again.
