I visited a quiet village with unique local businesses in the village.
Where is this place located, how can visitors reach it, and when did you visit it?
This is one of the most quiet village in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Nigeria, that I visited. This is my second time visiting this village, which is located close to Akpata community. For a visitor to reach this village, it depends on where the visitor is coming from; for someone who is outside Nasarawa State, you will have to travel down to Nasarawa State and stop at Akwanga.

Wherever you're stopped in Akwanga, just ask about Ola Street, and you will be directed to Ola or be taken to Ola. From Ola to this village is trekable, but you can choose to enter a motorcycle or car to the place; you have to follow the straight road down to the endpoint of the tailroad, which is where the village starts from.
Why do you think this place remains hidden or overlooked despite its value?
I think this place remains hidden or overlooked despite its value because there are no federal or state government projects in the place. There is no school, hospital, company, church, mosque, or any big business attraction in the place that would make people know the place.

What is best known in the place are palm trees, as it is called the home of palm trees, where palm oil and palm wine are being produced. Had there been a federal or state government establishment in the place, the place would have been well-known place.
What makes this place unique compared to other places in your area?
What makes the place unique compared to other places in my area is the palm trees, fruits such as mangoes, oranges, and guava, and the GSM mast that is in the place.

Besides the trees and green environment of the place, there is a GSM mast that attracts networks from other places. This mast is installed in the place because of the vast land in the place.
What can visitors experience, discover, or learn by visiting this place?
Visitors can experience nature and the sweet taste of natural palm wine in the place. Also, visitors can discover animals in the place because there are bushes in the place, and visitors can learn about the people's culture and traditions, like what they do, eat, and celebrate.

I think this place deserves more recognition on Steem Atlas for what it has. There are some places where palm trees and such vast land aren't found, which, by putting this place on Steem Atlas, can make investors know about the place and think about investing in the place, which would bring development to the place.
