Where is this place located, how can visitors reach it, and when did you visit it?

This place is located in the Boro Deora area of Tongi, Gazipur. To reach here, visitors can reach the area adjacent to the Sidbari Mosque in Boro Deora, Tongi by road from any place in Dhaka or its vicinity. It is possible to reach this place very easily from Tongi Bus Stand or Station Road by rickshaw or local transport. I do not know any information regarding personal experience or travel time.

Why do you think this place remains hidden or overlooked despite its value?

Khokon General Store, located in the Bora Deora area of Tongi, is basically a local rural or populated area retail and wholesale grocery store. It is not a historical or tourist attraction, but rather a business establishment selling daily necessities in a general populated area. Although such local shops play a very important role in fulfilling the daily needs of the people of the area, they remain hidden from the public eye or publicity as they are not tourist or tourist attractions. Basically, since they are not part of traditional tourism and do not have any historical or artistic importance, they remain neglected by the general public.

What makes this place unique compared to other places in your area?

This place, i.e. Khokon General Store, is located in the area adjacent to the Boro Deora Sidbari Mosque in Tongi, Gazipur. The specialty of this shop compared to other places in the area is that all types of groceries are sold here at wholesale and retail prices. The shop has various brands of toiletries, daily necessities, rice bags and various types of spices and household essentials neatly arranged. This business establishment plays a very important role in meeting the daily shopping needs of the local residents, which makes it quite convenient and effective compared to the general shops in the vicinity.

By visiting Dhokan General Store located in Singh Bari area of Bara Deora, Tongi, visitors can get a real-life experience of local rural or urban retail and wholesale business.
