I am presenting a post about a street food shop. This is a corn shop. This shop sells whole corn. The shop is located on Zikrul Haque Road Saidpur. It can be reached in 5 minutes by walking from Saidpur station. The distance from the station to this shop will be 400 meters. This shop opens in the afternoon and closes at 10 pm.

People in our area love to eat raw corn. This is a popular food for everyone. The shop I am posting about. This shop is very popular at present. Everyone comes here in the afternoon to eat corn. Since corn is very delicious to eat. Therefore, the local people also love to eat this food. People in our area love to eat food from any street side shop. All the food prepared on the street side is popular with the people.

What was your personal experience during the visit?
I went there about 2 months ago. I went there in the afternoon. The shop was open then. The corn was getting old on a van. Then it was being spread with salt and oil. The corn was being roasted with coal. My ignorance was quite good. I have eaten corn many times before. But there is a reason why I like the corn from this shop. I love eating raw corn more. This corn is soft to eat. And it is comfortable to eat. Since the shop is on the side of the road, people could easily go there. And they could buy and eat corn.

How does this place reflect the food culture of your area?
During the winter and monsoon seasons, the sight of corn being roasted over coals at roadside intersections is common. The hot, smoky corn, mixed with a pinch of salt, oil, and chili peppers, enlivens the afternoon or evening chats of locals. Corn is a very accessible and affordable food for people of all classes and professions. In agriculture-dependent Bangladesh, corn is now a staple crop alongside rice and wheat. Which indicates the availability of raw materials in Bangladesh. Even in the era of modern fast food, the popularity of this authentic local food cooked on coal fire has not diminished at all. Which proves our love for our roots and unwavering faith in tradition.
