Not every beautiful place is famous. Some of the most interesting locations are often hidden in plain sight quiet corners, peaceful natural spots, forgotten landmarks, scenic viewpoints, or small local attractions that many people pass by without noticing.

For Week 4 of Frames of My World, we invite participants to explore and showcase the hidden corners of their area through original photography and storytelling using Steem Atlas.

What Participants Should Capture

Participants should focus on discovering and showcasing lesser-known places that are often overlooked but hold beauty, history, culture, or local significance.

You may capture:

Hidden natural spots
Quiet village corners
Lesser-known parks or gardens
Historic landmarks that receive little attention
Scenic viewpoints
Unique local attractions
Traditional places with cultural value

📸 Try to capture places that people may not normally notice but deserve appreciation and recognition.

Questions Participants Must Answer

Where is this hidden place located?
Why do you consider it a hidden or lesser-known place?
What makes this location special or unique?
What did you discover or learn while visiting this place?
What story or feeling do you think this place expresses through your photographs?

Writing Guidelines

Share your personal exploration experience
Describe what makes the location unique
Include opening & closing times if appropriate
Explain the historical, cultural, or natural significance of the place
Write clear and organized descriptions for each photograph
Focus on discovery and storytelling
Explain why others should know about this place

Submission Rules

Publish your post in the Story On Steem Community
Your publication must be at least 400 words
Participants may write in any language
Share at least 10 original photographs with meaningful captions
Add at least one video (45 seconds to 1 minute)
Google Map link and correct Steem Atlas pin are required
Read and follow 21 Tips to Make Better Posts for Steem Atlas
You may set 10%-25% beneficiaries to @steem-atlas
Review a location that you have not reviewed previously
Do not use photographs that were shared previously
Include the actual date of your visit or photography session
Maintain good markdown presentation and post quality
Plagiarism and AI-generated content are strictly prohibited
Only one entry per participant
Invite at least 3 friends to participate
Leave your post link in the comment section of this contest post

Photography Guidelines

Use clear and properly framed photographs

Ensure that all photographs are connected to the same location or nearby area

Contest Duration

📅 The contest will start on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 00:00 UTC and will remain open until Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 23:59 UTC.

🏆 5 best entries will be selected based on originality, photography quality, storytelling, creativity, exploration value, and proper Steem Atlas usage.
