RE: SLC-S33/W3 | Beyond the Map : Then & Now

in Story On Steemyesterday

The 125-meter-high Sindoni Tower in Maracay is not just a multi-story building; it is a great symbol of the economic dynamism of the entire region. Despite being built in 1999, its brick facade and exterior structure are still of high quality, as can be clearly understood from your description and photos. The way the building remained intact without any damage despite withstanding the severe shock of the recent earthquake is a clear testament to its advanced engineering structure. However, in addition to the architectural beauty of the building, my heart is heavy after learning about the tragic fate of its founder, Filippo Sindoni. A man who dreamed so big and changed the face of the city but later had to suffer such cruel circumstances—it is quite heartbreaking. In my opinion, the real value of a building does not lie only in the durability of its brick and concrete, but the sacrifices and memories of the people behind it make the structure a historical identity of a city. Good luck to you in this contest. 😊
