The Diary Game: A Walk to School, Social Media Surprises, and a Meal at My Uncle's

My morning started on a purposeful note as I got dressed and stepped out the door on my way to campus. There is always something refreshing about getting an early start, feeling ready to tackle whatever lectures and tasks the day brings. As I walked along my usual route, I paused for a quick selfie against the bright morning sky. Dressed in a patterned button-up shirt, a white undershirt, and wearing my black-rimmed glasses, I felt ready for the day ahead. The clear sky made for a great backdrop, and taking a quick picture always serves as a good timestamp for the start of my daily activities.

While taking a quick break on my journey, I pulled out my phone to scroll through my feeds and see what was happening online. That was when I stumbled upon a Facebook post by football legend Cristiano Ronaldo that completely caught my attention. The screenshot showed Ronaldo standing inside his massive private garage, surrounded by high-end, luxury supercars like Ferraris and Bugattis. What really made me stop and laugh was his simple caption: "My toys 🚀". Seeing millions of dollars worth of elite engineering casually described as "toys" was wild to think about. The comment section was equally entertaining, filled with fans debating and reacting to the flex. It was a funny, shocking piece of content that certainly made the walk to school a lot more amusing.

After completing my activities for the day, I decided to pay a visit to my uncle’s house to catch up and rest for a bit. Family visits are always a great way to wind down, especially when there is food involved. My timing could not have been better. Shortly after I arrived and settled in, I was served a plate of hot, delicious Jollof rice topped with a piece of fried fish. The rice was cooked to perfection—rich in flavor and seasoned just right. Eating a good, heart-warming meal in a relaxed environment was the absolute best way to close out the afternoon.
