The dairy game 16, July 2026. A Busy and Fulfilling Day on the Farm , New Phone Vibes Included!
Good morning, Steemit family! Or rather, good evening by the time you're reading this. Today was one of those perfectly packed days that remind me why I love this simple yet rewarding lifestyle. I woke up early with gratitude in my heart, said my prayers, and thanked God for another beautiful day filled with purpose and good health.
Right after prayers, I headed straight to my grasscutters' cage.
These little guys are such an important part of my daily routine. I cleaned their enclosure thoroughly, removed the old bedding, and gave them fresh water and feed. Watching them munch happily always puts a smile on my face – it’s satisfying knowing I’m raising them with care.
Once the cage was sparkling clean, I set out to get fresh new ugwu stems. Ugwu (fluted pumpkin leaves) is a staple in my home, packed with nutrients and perfect for soups and stews. I brought back a good bunch, washed them carefully, and prepared them for storage. There’s something therapeutic about handling fresh produce straight from the source.
By then, I was ready for a quick bath to refresh myself. Breakfast was simple but nourishing I enjoyed it while reflecting on how blessed I am to combine farming with everyday life. A little nap afterwards recharged my batteries before the afternoon tasks.
Around 2 PM, I went back to feed the grasscutters again.
They were active and responsive – always a joy to see. With the farm duties sorted, I dressed up and headed into town, specifically to Wuse. The main mission? Getting a brand new phone! My old one had served its time, and it felt good to upgrade. Navigating the market, comparing options, and finally making the purchase gave me that satisfying feeling of progress.
On the way back home, I couldn’t resist taking a few selfies to capture the day’s energy. The sun was gentle, the breeze refreshing, and I felt truly alive. From the early morning farm chores to the afternoon city errand, today was an amazing blend of responsibility, self-care, and small victories.
Days like this remind me that life is about balance nurturing what you have (my grasscutters and garden), investing in yourself (the new phone), and appreciating every moment. I’m grateful for the strength to keep going and for this wonderful community that shares in these journeys.
What about you? How was your day? Drop your highlights in the comments – I love reading your stories. Until tomorrow, stay productive and stay blessed!
Thanks for reading my diary ❤️💕
