The Biggest Heist
Justin, a brave young man that learned how to survive on his own, at a tender age, because his parents had died in a car crash.
He was almost no different from poor young Alladin.
It's innocent souls like this that end up with magical experiences like the genie in a lamp.
Justin never stumbled on a lamp, never had luck shine his way, he knew he had to force his way for daily bread.
He was good at stealing. His best skill was he stole in a chain reaction sort of way.
He knew how to steal from one, give it to another person and steal something else, create a distraction and have the victims fighting and blaming each other for their loss, and he's already a mile away with what he really wanted.
So no one ever thought he was a thief.
Poverty was not a good enough justification for such acts but he knew it was that, or death. It was the only way he knew and had built his life around that.
One faithful day, when the chariots were carrying the body of a rich man into the temple, the chariot riders stopped to excuse themselves and to buy a few things from the market. Those things were needed for the funeral ceremony.
Justin timed them well and when no one was looking, he stole the entire coffin.
How?
Word got out a rich man was getting buried that day and Justin also needed wood. It was not a heist because of his bravery, he wanted to build his little house using town materials without buying anything. He had all the tools in place before the chariots got close to the temple.
The funeral was still happening two streets away and everyone was expecting the remains of the rich man. The music was loud and the people were dancing, they assumed the dead man was only late so nobody questioned why the coffin was not yet around.
Justin dragged the coffin behind the church wall. It was heavier than he expected so he struggled a little with it to a point where one sharp side scraped his ankle till it bled.
When he finally got to a secured location and put the coffin down, something knocked back and Justin knew it was coming from inside the coffin.
Justin froze and became alert. He didn't move and was staring hard at the coffin, then suddenly the knocking came again. This time it was three, slow hits, like someone knocking a door.
Justin didn't want to create any attention for himself, just in case anyone was around, but he wanted to speak to whoever or whatever was in the coffin.
So with a low voice, he whispered, "If you're a ghost, wait a little, this ain't the right place to come out for both of us, you wouldn't want to complicate the situation we're both in already"
After he said that, the coffin or whoever was in it went silent for about 15 seconds, then a manly voice inside said;
"Look lad, just open it, I'm not dead enough yet"
Justin laughed a little, so did the voice inside the coffin. Then when the coast was clear, he opened it.
The man inside sat up, very alive, and said to Justin "Tell them to stop celebrating, I was only resting"
Justin said "yes sir"
This rich man already knew Justin. This rich man knew Justin needed wood. This rich man ordered the men that when he dies, they should use a particular type of wood for his coffin. The very wood Justin was looking for.
This rich man had a lot of enemies that wanted him dead. So he faked his own death and had Justin steal the coffin.
He explained it all to Justin. Then he decided to pay Justin for stealing the coffin and said to him;
"Young boy, you've got great talent, you just need to put it to good use and get paid for it. I'll take you off the streets if you agree to work for me."
Justin replied "What are you proposing?"
The rich man said "You'll steal my wealth for me and I'll leave this town, then you can have all that"
When he said "all that" the rich man pointed at his estate.

Justin said "Bet On".
The funeral was a complete joke because Justin decided to start from there. The will the rich man wrote, he took that first. He stole all the gold the man had, and literally stole jewelry from the guests and anybody the rich man said was bad. Justin even stole curtains from the rich man's house. Justin had other hungry boys he feeds and teaches how to steal food. He organised them and they took almost everything and made it look like one famous enemy of the rich man had done that.
Basically, Justin became Robin Hood, stealing from the rich, but in his case, to give back to one rich man on a mission to escape death.
Justin kept his end of the bargain and before the rich man and a few of his servants that knew, where about to take off, he looked at Justin, smiled and told him;
"Boy! this is the secret code to my treasure chest, in it is enough gold, diamond and silver to last you a lifetime without work, you've made an old man proud"
Justin thanked him and told him;
"Besides enjoying your riches here in this town, I'll deal with your enemies till the last one, so you can come back one day to your hometown"
It took Justin years, but he did it. He was a thief and now he's a man on a mission of redemption, to rid the town of all murderers and wicked rich people.
