Why Pepper Plants Are Very Spicy
It's a beautiful new week for all of us on Steemit and I hope everyone is doing splendid. I have something special for you guys and I hope you'll enjoy today's video.
Do you think that most peppers are spicy for flavor? Nope.
It goes back to ancestral bush survival for the pepper plant. Animals like to eat fruit, and peppers are plants. When a cow or goat eats a pepper, it can grind all the seeds into dust and they’ll never grow into a pepper plant again.
Over time, peppers have evolved to create something called capsaicin. Capsaicin becomes a burning sensation for pain receptors. Big, grazing animals can’t take the heat and avoid the peppers, which gives the plant a better chance at survival.
Birds though are an entirely different story.
They have a different biology and can’t taste the capsaicin in peppers at all. This also means that the pressing and crushing of the seeds never takes place and the seeds can grow. The plant decide to make a trade here, trades a little bit of the fruit to ensure that the seeds go far and grow, and it’s done using the bird to replace the mammal.
Chemistry also plays a role here to. It's more like mother nature has createsf her own transport systems solving a problem before the human race has to develop a method.
Enjoy my video today guys. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next one.

Nature gave every living being its own defense mechanism.
Also, this goes to show that even plants and trees have intelligence and ability to adapt to different conditions and circumstances.
