The Diary game:Better life with steem. A Day Off Filled with Routine, Responsibility, and Reunion
Today I had taken a day off from the office, and for that reason I felt a bit relaxed, with no obligations on my mind. Because of this, I woke up a little late in the morning. After getting up, I refreshed myself by performing ablution, and once I was ready, I went for prayers. Only after making supplications at the end of the prayers did I return home.
It was then time to do my morning physical exercise in the backyard, as I have recently resumed my old routine after a long break during the severe winter season. After completing the strenuous exercise, I went inside and helped my mother with some kitchen chores. Once that was done, I had my breakfast.
After finishing all my morning tasks, I headed towards one of my orchards where I needed to spray plant growth regulators. I carried along my battery-driven pump, which has a capacity of 15 liters and is quite efficient, as it minimizes wastage compared to other pumps. However, after covering about one-third of the orchard, the battery drained almost completely, and I had to return home.
On reaching back, I washed my car, as it had accumulated a lot of dirt over the past week due to frequent travel on rough roads during farming activities. I wanted to clean it before heading to my original place of posting, where I had initially joined the department. These days, I am on special duty, and I had been invited there for a farewell party of one of our officials who is retiring at the end of this month.
Upon reaching the office, I was pleasantly surprised to see its new appearance. Earlier, it lacked proper infrastructure, but within just a year, significant development had taken place. I was truly amazed at the transformation.
Soon, food was served, and one of my colleagues asked me to wait, as we have a tradition of starting our meal together. Everyone waits for each other, which reflects the strong sense of unity among us. After enjoying the meal together, we spent some time taking photographs with the retiring official and sharing warm moments. It had been almost a year since I last visited that office, where I had worked for nearly four years, so meeting everyone again felt special.
After the formalities, I spent some time with my friends before we all left for our respective homes. I returned in the evening and then went to my brother’s shop. As he has recently been blessed with a baby girl, he is occupied with family responsibilities, so we are managing the business during this time.
Later in the night, around 9 PM, we closed the shop and went home. After spending some time with my parents, we had dinner, and then it was time to go to sleep and call it a day.
