The Diary game:Better life with steem. From Morning Prayers to Farewell Gatherings, a day to remember. 30 April.
It was going to be a busy day for me, as I had a number of things on my bucket list. For that, I needed to wake up very early and start my day well so that I could finish all these activities. Upon waking up early, I performed ablution and went to offer prayers, beginning my day by bowing down in prostration and After that, I finished making supplications and returned home.
It was then time to go for some physical exercise in the backyard. Soon I was drenched in sweat and felt satisfied with the workout I had done. It was now time to go inside, freshen up, and help my mother with some kitchen chores. Shortly after, I had my breakfast.
After completing all my morning tasks, I got ready for the office. Today, I needed to obtain a certificate of duty from the concerned officers with whom I had been deputed for the last six months and submit it to my parent department so that my salary could be released. In the morning, I left using a shortcut route that takes around 20–25 minutes, as the road is clear with very little traffic and also saves fuel.
Upon reaching there, I immediately got into my work. I sought consent from the concerned officers I had been deputed with, and after receiving their approval, the certificate was processed. Within a short time, all the formalities were completed, and I had the signed certificate in my hand.
It was then time to leave and head towards my parent office where I had been posted earlier. While on my way, the idea of getting a haircut popped into my mind, and I quickly acted on it. I parked my car beside a parlour, and fortunately, there was not much waiting time, so I got my turn quickly and had my haircut done.
Just as I was about to leave, my colleagues called me. They were on their way to the house of one of our retiring officials, where a farewell gathering had been arranged, and I was invited as well. Instead of going to the office, I joined them on the way. While we were traveling, it started raining. Upon reaching the place, we were offered drinks, and later we were served Kashmiri cuisine, Wazwan. It was a pleasant gathering where I got to meet many colleagues.
At around 5 PM, we left the place to return home. Earlier, I had parked my car in a parking lot and had accompanied a friend to the retiring officer’s house, as he had space in his car. It seemed practical not to take my own car there and avoid unnecessary fuel use.
By the time I reached back, the rain had just stopped in my area, and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. It had been a long time since I had witnessed such a sight, and I could hardly remember the last time I saw one.
After reaching home, I felt tired, exhausted, and a bit cold. I asked for some tea and sat in front of the electric heater to warm myself. Soon, I felt sleepy and took a short nap. After waking up, I had to go to the market to buy some necessary items for the house.
Later, I prepared dinner and then went to my room. I read a few pages on the Indian economy to understand how the country is run and how economic matters are managed. By around 11:30 PM, I felt sleepy and went to bed, calling it a day.
