The Diary game:Better life with steem. Spring Hustle: Between Office Work and Orchard Duties
It’s because of the spring season and the farming activities people are involved in these days. Being the peak farming season, the efforts we put in now will bear fruit at the end of the year. That’s why most people in the valley, especially in rural areas, wake up very early in the morning so they can have maximum time to execute their plans for a better year ahead.
The same is the case with me. Even though I am a professional working in a government department, I still need to take care of farming chores at home because most of the responsibility falls on my shoulders, as my brothers are engaged in other jobs. I have to manage these things on my own, and for that, I need to stay cautious and active throughout the farming season.
Today again, I was asked to work from home, and because of that, I felt a little relaxed despite waking up early in the morning. I started my day by offering prayers, which brought me peace, positivity, and composure for the day. After that, I did some physical exercises to stay fit and burn calories, keeping health issues at bay.
Soon after finishing my exercises, I helped my mother in the kitchen. Only after completing the kitchen chores did I have my breakfast. Then it was time to log into the portal, where I had been assigned the task of approving the work done by my subordinates. For that, I needed to stay online and approve whatever came into my login.
The weather remained slightly overcast, and it started raining in the afternoon. After having lunch, I stepped outside and enjoyed the rain for a while. Before the rainfall became heavier, I had to move the newly planted pots under the roof, as they could have been damaged.
After that, I returned to my room and continued my official work until office hours ended. Later, I went outside again to enjoy the pleasant weather. I spent some peaceful time and then visited a friend’s shop, where I sat for a while and had a chat with him.
I also went to one of my orchards located near the village, where I had sprayed a growth regulator a few days ago, just to keep a check on the trees. After that, I returned home, as I had other responsibilities. I needed to sit at my brother’s shop for some time since he is not at home and has been staying with his wife for the past few weeks after she delivered a baby. Proper care is needed for both the mother and the newborn, so we have to support them.
Later, I went to my uncle’s house to bring milk. By then, it was time for dinner. After returning home, I had my dinner, and then went to my room. I spent some time on social media before finally going to sleep, ending my day.
