The diary game || Better life with steem|| A travel to my village

Hi friends, Yesterday, I traveled to my village to visit my parents. The village is situated approximately 60 kilometers away from where I currently reside. Since the heat was intense, we set out from our home early in the morning. Furthermore, as my son had gone to school, we departed immediately after sending him off, with the specific intention of returning home before he got back.

Since the entire route consisted of rural landscapes, the agricultural fields on both sides of the road looked incredibly beautiful. Generally, as this is the planting season, some fields had already been plowed and prepared for sowing, while others had already been seeded. Additionally, in fields with access to water, banana crops had been cultivated and were ready for harvest. Coconut groves were also scattered throughout the area; viewing all of these sights along the way was a truly delightful experience, and I took photographs of them as I traveled.

Upon reaching the village, I found that my father was unwell and resting in bed. I then went to inspect the farm. In the fields, tobacco had been harvested and hung in long festoons under the scorching sun to dry. Furthermore, coconuts harvested from the groves had been cracked open, and the kernels were laid out to dry in preparation for oil extraction. Cattle were tethered in the shade beneath the trees; these cows are raised primarily for milk production. I spent some time observing the animals, delighting in touching them, and feeding them leaves.

After spending a short while in the fields, I returned. Although the sun was blazing, strolling through the cool shade of the coconut groves felt incredibly refreshing. After taking in all these sights and having lunch there, we departed and headed back home.

On the return journey, I stopped at a fruit stall and purchased various fruits—specifically watermelon, grapes, and muskmelon. Typically, watermelon is sold at a rate of 20 rupees per kilogram; however, due to the intense summer heat this time around, the price of watermelon has surged to between 45 and 50 rupees.

However, what can one do? To combat the scorching heat, consuming water-rich fruits like these is essential for maintaining good health; therefore, I simply had to buy them. So, I purchased a three-kilogram watermelon, along with other hydrating fruits such as muskmelons and grapes, and headed home.

As soon as I arrived, I sliced the fruit and ate some. By the time we reached the house, my son’s school day had also ended, and he had returned home as well. I shared the fruit with him and then served him his lunch. Since the heat was still intense, I decided to take a short rest and take a nap. Thus, my trip to your village yesterday turned out to be a very pleasant experience. I hope you enjoyed reading this diary entry; please do leave your comments!
