I hope you all are doing well and living your lives happily. Today, I am going to tell you about a memorable day from my elder brother’s wedding.

The day of my elder brother’s wedding finally arrived. All my cousins, friends, and I were very happy. The wedding preparations were going very well. Then the night of Mehndi arrived, and the Mehndi function started. Everyone got ready and came to the event. I also dressed up, wore a Sindhi Ajrak, and got ready for the function.

Mehndi was applied to my brother, and other traditional village rituals were also performed. My friends danced to the beat of the dhol and performed bhangra. The whole night was full of fun, noise, and celebration.

Early in the morning, preparations for breakfast began. Since I had the responsibility of managing all the wedding arrangements, I had to handle everything myself. I arranged the breakfast and woke up the guests so they could eat.

One of the unique joys of a village wedding is that you have to find guests from different houses, deras, and havelis. Once all the guests gathered, breakfast was served. After breakfast, everyone was informed to get ready, as we were going to leave with the wedding procession (baraat).

All the guests, along with us, started preparing for the baraat. My brother went to the salon to get ready, while we prepared at home. We wore new clothes, tried to make ourselves look presentable, and then started gathering all the guests.

Once everyone was ready and gathered at our house, we set off with the baraat. When we reached the destination, we were warmly welcomed with rose petals. After sitting for a while, the guests were served cold drinks and sweets.

After some time, the Nikah officiant arrived, and the Nikah ceremony was performed. Then we took my brother to the bride’s house, where the traditional “doodh pilai” ceremony took place. Finally, we brought the bride with us and returned home.

This day ended with many beautiful memories that we will always cherish.
