- Study technique Pomodoro technique + Active Recall
Rather than passively skim lectures, I'm an aggressor - actively drilling myself on the core concepts and smashing it with focused bursts of work. It's perfectly balanced because my intervals are precisely calculated. The sequence goes (1) Grind 25 mins (2) Recharge for 5 (3) After four cycles, recharge for longer.
It also eliminates the fatigue from working on an all day-long schedule.
I even prep the day’s objectives on a sheet of paper before entering it on my laptop.
Distraction that’s hardest to get over.
Smartphone notifications. A random text message or an enticing social media prompt can effortlessly throw me off track and require me to dedicate up to 20 minutes to re-immerse myself in what I’m learning. To cope with this menace: 1.
Relocate the Phone: A study session only ever starts after I’ve put my device in another room.
- Turn on Do Not Disturb / Limit Network Access: I take additional precaution whenever I’m using my phone as a reader or I want some light online resources.
My One Good Habit to Study Well
I read all my lecture notes on a daily basis, which has put an end to the inevitable weeklong cram session that follows. Instead, it takes me only another 30-45 minutes on top of what is usually a school-day routine. I sleep better now because I no longer get stressed out due to my classes, as this habit lets me spot areas of deficiency and pose timely, relevant queries well ahead of time.

Tips for Students Dealing with Depression or Anxiety
The challenge of prioritizing coursework and mental health may seem like an uphill battle! If your assignments are affecting your health through anxiety and depression, consider using this easy, yet effective, methods to overcome the challenges: 1. Tackle your overwhelming assignments in the smallest doable increments.
Forcing ourselves to stare at whole syllabi is overwhelming for everybody and that includes me!
My method consists in dividing the workload of the future in very tiny manageable chunks so I can feel some sense of accomplishment regardless of how small or difficult it may be. 2. Create designated spaces: one for working and another to disconnect, for example. I encourage you to keep the working- from- my- bed habit in the distant past, and designate particular areas to perform specific activities so you don't bring any work stress home to your personal space.
Foster your well being overall. For example, you do not have to compromise on hours of sleep just to keep up with your classes; it is really important to drink enough water, get enough sleep, and move your body for brief periods throughout the day. When your body moves, your cortisol levels naturally begin to decline.
