The Dairy Game: [28/04/2026] The Tale Of 3 AM Heat, Cooking, And Sewing

Good day, guys. I hope y'all had a great day. I welcome y'all to another diary session with your girl @gbemi-sola, let's get into it. I happened to be awake by 3am because of heat. The weather at that time wasn't friendly at all, I kept on rolling from one side of my bed to the other, pressing my phone and hoping they bring the light so I could go back to sleep. Unfortunately, the light didn't come until past 6am and I said I still have time to sleep. I slept and finally woke up by past 8am and I was glad I did. I had my morning devotion, swept my room and started preparing the food I will take to shop. Firstly, I fried my eggs, then took out the remaining bread from yesterday and put the fried egg in between the bread and started toasting it in the pot, I wanted it to be burger bread and it came out perfect. When I finished cooking, I packed my food, did my dishes, and dashed into the bathroom to bath and brush. When I finished with all that, I prepared myself and head out for shop.

On getting to my shop, it was not up to 5minutes they brought the light. I was happy. There was no much cleaning to do because I swept before I left yesterday, all I did was dust my machines, mirror, table, chairs and doors. I took some minutes off to relax before I started sewing.

A fashion designer shop without a radio or mp3 player isn't complete, right. I took out my mp3 to charge and also listen to music. It keeps me company and gives the positive energy needed too.

Moving on to the next agenda. Here I was joining or sewing part of the fabric I cut yesterday. When I was through sewing that part, I positioned my chair to my weaving machine.

This was me trying to put machine oil into that small container there. There is a container we as fashion designer use to put the oil there, but mine is bad, so another option was to use this syringe.

After that, I went ahead to add gumstay on the sleeves with the help of my steaming iron and hemming gum. As usual, as at this time it was noon, around 2pm to be precise.

I brought out my burger bread and my water to step it down. At this junction, you could see I was tired. Food is life. Finished my food, had a minute for myself before I continue sewing.

I moved on to sew the neckline with this trimis I bought last night. Then joined the sleeves with the lining. It's the same fabric I used as the lining. Ironed the sleeves and joined them to the main bodice. Afterwards, I went ahead to weave the joining for perfect finishing.

This is one of the materials I bought last night, I will be removing the design one after the other because that's what I need to make this dress. Have it at the back of your mind, that this took a while to achieve.

Finally done removing the design, here I was with the dress on my mannequin. I started to tack the design on the dress with needle and thread. I did this till left shop around 7pm, yet I didn't finish it. I practically had to drag my feet home because I was exhausted.

Got home, offloaded everything, shower, and got comfy. After eating my food, I did my dishes head straight back to my room. Not quite after it started raining. I'm sure I will have a sound sleep throughout the night because of the weather tonight. This will be all on today's dairy session, thank you for having me guys. Wishing y'all a wonderful night rest.
