SLS33-From My kitchen To Your Plate Week#2 My City My Taste[Moi-moi]
Today, I prepared moi-moi, which is a taste of my city, and it is the food that I often make at my house. In preparing moi-moi, one needs to have the following ingredients: The good thing about moi-moi is that it can be eaten with pap, custard, rice, or even with garri, which is exactly how some people enjoy eating their moi-moi.
Ingredients
Beans, Crayfish, Red oil, Onion, Pepper, Seasoning, Salt and Eggs

After getting all your ingredients ready, the next thing you're to do is to wash your beans very well and put them inside a clean container, then add pepper and onion into it, and grind all together.

When you have ground the beans, add ground crayfish, salt, seasoning, oil, and a small quantity of water, and mix very well. Check if the salt is okay or not and add it if needed.
You can tie your moi-moi inside nylon, moi-moi leaf, or in a small plastic container and cook it. For me, I put my moi-moi inside nylon and cook it for about 45 minutes.
As I tied and put it on fire, I added water into the cooking pot and allowed it to cook very well. You will need to allow the moi-moi to cook until it's done. After cooking, I then made custard and ate it with the moi-moi.
Show Cultural Importance
In my city, moi-moi is a well-cherished traditional food that symbolizes unity, hospitality, and culinary heritage and is widely served as a festival food, a party staple, and a comforting daily food. Moi-moi is also served at weddings, naming ceremonies, and during the holiday period.
In my city, when a household is cooking moi-moi, the family members in the house would begin to feel happy because it unites the family together, and moi-moi is one of the foods that can be paired with custard, pad, rice, or garri, reflecting the resourceful nature of local dining.
Here is the final presentation of my moi-moi being served with custard, which is how I enjoy eating moi-moi.
