Steemit Challenge - Season 33 "From My Kitchen To Your Plate" Week #4 Street Food At Home [Name of Your Dish]
The street food recipe that I like to buy often is chin-chin. As of last week, I made chin-chin at home, and I am here to share with you the process of making chin-chin.
Prepare recipe(4)
To prepare chin-chin, you will need to have the following ingredients which are:
- Flour
- Groundnut oil
- Baking butter
- Baking powder
- Nutmeg
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Milk
Process
Step1, First, I began my chin chin preparation by getting a clean, grease-free bowl, then proceeded to sieve my flour properly into the bowl.

Step2 After that, I added my baking powder, powdered milk, and nutmeg, then gently mixed it up using my hands, which I had already washed and dried with a clean kitchen towel.

Step3 At this point, I added in my baking butter. Also, it seemed like the nutmeg was not enough, so I had to add more of it, along with the butter, and mixed properly.
Step4 At this point, I broke my eggs and added them to the mixture. Then, I added some little amount of water to my sugar and allowed it to dissolve properly before adding it to the mixture.
Step5 I made sure that I mixed up all the ingredients properly until they were well incorporated. I also made sure that the dough was not sticking to my hands anymore.
Step6 I covered the dough using a tray for about 30 minutes before proceeding to cut it into smaller pieces or squares.
Step7 After about 30 minutes had passed, I carefully took out my dough and cut small pieces to roll it before cutting into my desired shape. I didn't have a rolling pin, so I improvised by using a bottle
Step8 Although using a bottle wasn't really easy, ut it worked out well, and I got what I wanted. After cutting it all, I then poured some groundnut oil into the frying pan, allowed it to heat for a while, le then started frying my chin chin until it was brown.
Favorite Street Food? (2 marks)
My favorite street food is meatpie, and this food is special to me right from my childhood. It was during my childhood that meatpie became special to me when my parents usually carried me out to buy something from the restaurant. I got to know about meatpie.
Meatpie is the next street food that I am planning on making, and the food usually tastes nice and moderate when eating it.

Yes, street food is convenient for me, but it is not all street food is convenient for me. At least I am always satisfied eating from a street food outlet that is clean and well designed.
Final Presentation(1Mark)
Below is the final stage of my fried homemade chin-chin that I prepared myself at home. This chin-chin tastes so nice that I would like to prepare it again.
