Today I will talk about Dhelapirhat in Saidpur Upazila of Nilphamari district. The sweet shops outside here are very nice.A market is held here twice a week and many buyers from far and wide come to shop. This Dhelapirhat is held on Fridays and Tuesdays. There are numerous mobile sweet shops here which are very delicious to eat. These shops are available only on the market day and are not available outside.

Do you prefer to have your sweet freshly made from the oil, or do you not mind if they already have it on the counter.

I always love hot jilapi fries and it tastes so delicious when it is made from a hot frying pan.
This dessert from this shop is very popular and is made with gur-like sweetener, and this jilapi tastes very delicious when eaten hot.

I like this jilapi hot and this jilapi is fried hard due to which it sometimes gets mushy, this jilapi can be eaten even if you keep it at home. Some people may not like it hot but I like it hot more.

Do you usually have your fried desserts with a hot coffee or do you prefer a cold drink?

I don't usually eat fried sweets with hot coffee, I like water quite a bit, but this shop doesn't have any cold water and doesn't sell coffee, but sells tea. I don't really like tea with fried sweets and I don't like coffee, so I had the normal water available at this shop, along with the fried sweets and jilapi from the tube well, this shop also has a wide variety of items available besides fried jilapi.

Do you prefer to enjoy these sweets as an afternoon snack or as the perfect ending after a traditional lunch?

I don't really like or want sweets as an afternoon snack. These sweets play a wonderful role in traditional occasions like Pohela Baishakh or any wedding or Halkhata. Numerous buyers from far and wide or those who go to the market to shop are fond of these sweets and they eat these sweets as an alternative to rice or for breakfast.

These shops have numerous customers, many of whom sit down and eat, while others take it home. All kinds of fresh desserts are made here.
