In search of a little different taste amidst the daily hustle and bustle, today I will take you to a vibrant and wonderful food corner in Dhaka Cantonment, where I will share with you some wonderful moments spent and an amazing sandwich-tasting experience.

The food court I visited today is located in ASW Park, located inside the ECB Chattar, under the Dhaka Cantonment area. Several modern food courts have been developed within the pleasant surroundings of this park, one of which, and my destination today, was Hungry Food Lovers Haven.

As soon as I stepped into Hungry Food Lovers Haven, my eyes were caught by the menu card at the counter. Although their regular menu card has some familiar items like a smoked sandwich or club sandwich, I ordered their brand new edition, Double Decker Sandwich. Talking to the staff, I learned that although it is a new addition to the menu, it is currently one of their running and very popular foods among customers. I ordered this special double-decker sandwich to satisfy my evening hunger and in search of new flavours.

In my opinion, the quality of the sandwich was simply excellent. The beautifully grilled spots on the bread were a treat to the eyes. Inside the soft and fresh three-layer bread, there was a layer of juicy chicken filling, perfectly cooked egg slices, fresh cucumber, lettuce leaves, and a perfect blend of their own secret sauce and mayonnaise. The meat had a perfect taste and creamy texture that stuck in the mouth with every bite, making the sandwich extremely juicy.

In my opinion, the structure and exterior of this food court are quite modern. The counter is made of glass and decorated with very nice lighting. The surrounding brick walls and the murals painted with rural scenes inside the restaurant (which I tried to portray in the picture) make the atmosphere quite attractive.

Today, I was originally supposed to come here with a colleague. But he was a little late in reaching due to the traffic. Since he was late, I kept waiting for him in the food court. And I did not feel bored at all during this wait, because the atmosphere inside the food court is really amazing! The open air around, the green plants inside the park, and the nice seating arrangement are so relaxing.

Their customer care or service quality (attention) is also quite satisfactory. The behavior of the staff was very elegant and professional. The entire food court area was being cleaned regularly, which is very positive for health-conscious customers.

In my opinion, the touch of Digital Bangladesh is also evident in this food court. Here, besides paying cash for bills, there is also a great facility of cashless or digital payment. Customers can easily use mobile banking like bKash or Rocket to scan and pay, which makes the whole process much easier and hassle-free.

✓ Regarding the atmosphere of the establishment, would you say that it is a favorable place to stay to consume with peace of mind or is it more oriented to be a quick option to take away?

In my experience, this place is perfect for both relaxed dining and takeaway. Since it is located inside ASW Park, there is a nice seating arrangement for a peaceful meal with family, friends, or colleagues—as I enjoyed while waiting for my colleague today. For those who want to grab a quick bite to eat on the way to work or home, there is a very good parcel or takeaway service.

✓ What are those three essential ingredients that can never be missing in your perfect sandwich?

As a sandwich lover, I believe that three ingredients cannot be omitted to make a perfect and high-quality sandwich:

The foundation of a sandwich is bread. If the bread is not soft and fresh, the whole taste is ruined. Lightly toasted or grilled fresh bread enhances its taste a lot.

The chicken or meat filling inside should be soft, well-cooked, and full of the right balance of spices.

This removes the dryness inside the sandwich and brings a moist and rich texture, which makes every bite juicy.

Sandwiches are essentially a meal that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. But personally, I like to eat a sandwich with light tea or coffee for an evening snack. As it satiates hunger quickly, it also helps to provide instant energy by removing fatigue from the body.

Another wonderful and commendable aspect of this food court premises is that there is a beautiful prayer room and ablution place for the customers coming here. As a result, even if you are chatting with family or friends for a long time, you do not have to run outside to pray on time.

This was my plan for today. That wonderful moment of waiting for my colleague and this new double-decker sandwich from "Hungry Food Lovers Haven" really brought a different kind of satisfaction to my mouth. Those of you who live near Dhaka Cantonment or ECB premises, if you want, you can try this wonderful atmosphere and taste the food while enjoying a little fresh air one afternoon.
