By the grace of Almighty Allah I am good and delighted to share with you very healthy and tasty recipe of Haleem that is the best nutritional combination of lentils and chicken I hope you will like it.

| Lentils (Red , yellow& green) | ½ cup |
| Onion | chopped ¹ |
| Green chilli | chopped ¹ |
| Coriander or celery leaves | few |
| Salt | ¹ tsp |
| Red chili powder | ¹ tsp |
| Garm Masala | ¹ tsp |
| Coriander powder | ¹ tsp |
| Turmeric powder | ⅓ tsp |
| Cumin & cardamom powder | ¹ tsp |
| Ginger & garlic | ¹ tsp paste & cutting for presentation |
| Oil | ¹ cup |
| Water | ⁵ cup |
Steps for cooking Haleem
I firstly washed the chicken with the fresh flowing water then I added ¹ cup oil in the cooking pot and then let it hot. Afterwords, I added in chopped onions and garlic ginger paste . I cooked until turned light golden color then I added all spices and cooked for more ¹⁰ minutes. Until chicken also showed light golden color and half cooked.
I used ½ cup of three different Lentils and washed it properly with the fresh flowing water and soaked them for at least 10 minutes. You can used any lentils that are easily cooked and develop delicious taste. We can use also ready made mixture of making Haleem but homemade lentils are more healthy , delicious and delectable.
Then I added national ½ packet of national Haleem masala in the half cooked fried chicken and mixed it well so that spices of inside the haleem masala emerge in the chicken.
At the meanwhile, we took soaked lentils and filter the water from them and added in the cooking pot. We cooked for ⁵ minutes then we will add ⁵ cup of water and then cooked for ³⁰ minutes under the moderate flame.
Next step is to blend the lentils and chicken pieces without bones. And made the thick paste by blending them with consistency. That's made perfect thick and smoothy paste of Haleem.
In our cultural Language we used Urdu word تڑکا that's last and important step for developing intense and Haleem taste. For this , we will use onion and ginger and cut them very thin and fried them in oil or dasi ghee until they turned into dark golden color.
The last step is the final presentation. We will add some dark golden color ginger and onions inside the haleem cooking pot and some will use for serving. That's mandatory for the complete dish of Haleem.
Final Presentation of Haleem
We will present Haleem by topping cutting ginger , green chillies , golden fried ginger Onion and sprinkled cumin cardamom powder and served with chapati or boiled rice.
