Sleep – when I slept and how many hours you slept. |

It was a beautiful Saturday morning on 13/6/26 as my day started at 5am after a good sleep. I woke up at the sound of my alarm gently tugging at my soul to wake up and start my day.
At 5am, it means I had gotten a good sleep of about 7 hours. These days I have told myself that I would be sleeping on time so that I can be able to wake up on time. Early to bed they say is early to rise and when we get good sleep hours, it helps our body to rejuvenate better and get well rested to be strong for the days work.
My good hours of sleep help me to not wake up feeling drowsy and having the urge to get back to bed again. I slept by 10pm and woke up by 5am. I sat up in bed, said my prayers and did my other spiritual routine for the morning.

I woke up in a good mood this particular morning. I had gone to bed the previous night after planning out my things to do for the next day.
Whenever I get to sleep with this type of mental preparation, I always wake up in an energetic mode and ready to take on my days work unlike the days I sleep without plans for the next day. I wake up drowsy and slow but today was different. I wake up in a good mood and ready to face the day.

When I wake up, the first thing I did even before I started my prayers and the quiet time is to drink water. I drank lukewarm water to help my system wake-up and not cold water. After my first water drinking, I go to ease myself and then start my prayers.
I drank water at several intervals of the day. During and after exercise. Before meals and after meals. Whenever I get thirst signals and always to keep myself hydrate.
I took at least 2 liters of water. I measure the water I drink with this my drinking cup. I drink sachet water and each is about 60cl. 4 sachets of water make up at least 2 liters of water.
My water cups contains one and half sachets of water at a time so I ensure to drink up to about three cups of water daily using my water cup measurement to be able to get to my daily water consumption target.
When I consume enough water. It helps for blood circulation and also helps to keep my body hydrated, removes excess wastes and allows my body to function well.
Exercise – time and type of walking, running, sports or other exercise. |

After my prayers, the next thing I did was to exercise briefly. I did about 15-30 minutes of exercise. It was 7am by now and everywhere was bright. I like to exercise in the morning as it keeps me fit and mentally vigorous to continue the day.

I did some stretches and warm up and then I went into brief cardio exercises with jumping jacks and legs stretches. Then I ran up and down the stairs. I ran the stairs of the two story building where I live 12 times. I run up as one count and round down again until it’s up to twelve.
This was the most difficult part of my exercise routine. Running down the stairs is way easier than running up. It can be very tiring but with perseverance, I was able to complete the 12 times running in about ten minutes.
When I finished, I rest briefly and then roundup with some stretches to let my body adjust to the exercise. By 7:30am my exercise was completed and of course I did not forget to drink water again.

After my exercise, the next thing I did was to do brief studying and skill acquisition online before I process to bath and brush. Bathing and brushing is always part of my health routine. I prefer to do them in the morning even though I work from home.
I brushed first before I bathing but I ensure to do that before I fix breakfast. I do not like eating with unbrushed mouth. Our mouth smells bad when we do not brush well. As someone who hates bad breath, I ensure I brushed my tongue well too.
I eat a lot of fruits but today I didn’t have any fruit. I prefer eating my fruits in the night before bed as it makes me eat light at night.
All though the day, as I work in the house, I ensure to wash my hands often to avoid contamination.
Before and after eating, I washed my hands and from time to time when I feel it’s not as clean as should be or when I touch compromising things especially during the regular routine house chores and cleaning like I do everyday.

Food was a part of my day except when I am fasting even though I am not a heavy eater. I eat healthy and in small quantity just enough as I can carry. I do not like to over feed.
For today, my breakfast was moi-moi, a proteinous food made from blended beans. I love eating moi-moi a lot as it’s very soft, delicious and filling. It carries me till it’s time for lunch. I usually eat it alongside with custard.
For lunch, I wanted something fresh and natural. I have been craving fresh boiled corn for sometime, so I had to buy boiled corn and used it for my lunch. It was a busy day for me so I had to make do with what’s readily available until I was able to cook later in the evening.
After the days work, I went to the market and prepared vegetables soup and chicken for diner. I love vegetables soup a lot and it’s very nutritious and a good source of vitamins and minerals. I ate the soup for diner.
I would have eaten the soup with swallow but it was already late in the night and I didn’t want to eat heavy so I had to eat just the soup.
Physical condition – how my body was, whether I had any illness or pain. |

My body has been in great condition lately. I didn’t have any illness except for the fact that my eyes has been itching lately. I woke up with some itching in my eyes, when I rub it, it becomes inflamed and very uncomfortable.
I had tried to use sayer to wash my eyes more often and use cold press but it kept reoccurring so I had to visit the pharmacy.

So I when I couldn’t bear the itch any more, I had to go down to the pharmacy and explain to them what was happening to my eyes.
They asked me how long I have been having the itching and I told them it keeps coming and going and the pharmacist prescribed an eye drop for me and the number of dosage.
She told me to put a drop on each eye twice daily. I have been using it and it’s has really helped with the itching and inflammation. I feel way better.

Aside the eye drops I am using for my eyes, I have learnt some tips that could help with taking better care do our eyes and I’d like to share that with us as advice for our health.
To reduce the pressure we put on our eyes during phone usage, we should blink often as it would help the eyes. We can use cold compress on our eyes and rest it once in a while after much screen time.
Dust and rubbing dirty hands into our eyes can cause eye irritation and itching hence we should wash our hands always and avoid putting dirty hands into our eyes.
These are some of the tips I have learnt and use to take better care of my eyes.

Good health is a part of life. A healthy person they say is a wealth person. I am progressing on taking are of my health more through good food, good hygiene and consuming of a lot of water and exercising.
I have food supplements I take to help my immune system. I also take vitamins C and blood capsules often to help boost my blood count especially after my monthly flow.
Before now, I use to battle with dizziness alot and shortage of blood but the blood boosters and supplements have come handle for me in taken good care of my health.
My health have been progressing better and I have more goals to keep it progressing more. It’s been a beautiful time sharing about my health diary. Hope you enjoyed it.

Reading through your post it was interesting seeing you giving us some health tips how to stay strong and healthy.The amount of water we need to drink atleast2,doing jumping excercises etc.Am sorry about your eye problem but it good as you had to go to the pharmacy to get some medication like eye drop.Am sure it will help , your health tips advise are worth educative .
