SLC31-W4: Shop & Share Challenge - Restaurant or Food Vendor

Hello steemian friends, food is an integral part of people's daily lives. Not only to satisfy hunger, but the taste of food and the way it is served also reflects our quality of life. This 4th week of the 'Shop & Share Challenge' organized by @josepha has given us a great opportunity to learn about our local restaurants and food quality. I always like to taste new places and food. In that vein, through today's competition, I am going to share my experience of one of my favorite restaurants with you. I hope you like this review of mine.

☞ What is the name and location of the restaurant, food vendor, or local eateries?

Today I will tell you about one of my favorite restaurants, called 'Bhai Bhai Fish Hotel and Restaurant'. It is located in Kaliganj area of ​​Gazipur, about 31 kilometers from Uttara city. The biggest specialty of the restaurant is its location. It is established in a completely quiet and rural environment, away from the mechanical noise of the city. Although it is not on any main commercial road, food lovers from far and wide flock here just because of the taste and reputation of its food. It has been operating its activities with great honesty and hospitality for a long time. This hotel is well known far and wide, especially for the Panchmishali Beel fish. This restaurant is an ideal place for those who are looking for home-style fish buna and traditional food in a natural environment.

One of the main features of a good quality restaurant is its easy access and adequate parking facilities. This is highly commendable in the case of ‘Bhai Bhai Fish Hotel and Restaurant’. Since the restaurant is quite far from the main city and there is usually no public transport or public transportation available here, almost all the foodies come here with their own cars or private transport. Keeping this need of the customers in mind, a huge parking area has been kept here, where cars can be parked comfortably without any traffic jam or crowd. The most positive aspect is that customers do not have to pay any additional charges or fees for such a wonderful and safe parking facility. This facility of parking cars in an open environment further increases the interest in coming to the restaurant.

A great feature of Bhai Bhai Fish Hotel and Restaurant is their special cooking process. The skilled chefs here process or clean all kinds of local fish with great care. But the most interesting thing is that if you want, you can fry the fish yourself in the oven with the help of the chef. The satisfaction of eating fresh or freshly fried fish as per your choice and eating it hot is quite difficult to find anywhere else. The opportunity to participate in this direct cooking process is an added bonus for food lovers, which enhances the taste of the food many times over. This taste of fresh fish prepared before your eyes will stay on your tongue for a long time.

I had lunch at this restaurant with two of my friends. We basically ordered a package meal which included: white rice, assorted fish, bharta, thin dal, sweet curd. There were three of us and the total bill for the three of us was 1200 taka. That is, we spent 400 taka per person. It is worth noting that since this restaurant is a local home-style hotel, no printed memo or receipt is provided here; the bill has to be calculated directly at the cash counter and paid.

☞ How did the food taste and look like also can you recommend the food to others, and explain your reason why

The taste of the food here is simply amazing. Since the fish is directly collected from the local bil, its freshness and taste remain intact. The color of the food and the use of spices were very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Because, here you will get to taste at least 24 to 30 types of fresh local fish at an affordable price and you also have the opportunity to fry the fish as per your choice. Which is usually impossible in other restaurants.

☞ How was the customer service and environment of the place?

The restaurant's environment is very clean and neat. The seating arrangement is quite spacious, so that one can enjoy the food comfortably without any gathering or crowd. The customer service here is also quite good, the staff is very sincere and serves the food quickly. The way guests are entertained in many homes. In addition, there is a spacious and safe parking facility for food lovers coming from far away, for which there is no charge.

☞ Do you think the food is worth the price? Why?

Yes, I think the price is comparatively much lower compared to my city compared to the quality and taste of the food. In the current market where it is difficult to get good quality fresh local fish, this restaurant is serving healthy food at a very affordable price. It is very good in terms of quantity and satisfaction of the food.

☞ Recommend tips for the restaurant, food vendor, or local eatery to improve.

Although Bhai Bhai Fish Hotel and Restaurant is unique in terms of food quality, I suggest the following improvements to make the customer experience more comfortable:

✔Lighting: The lighting system inside the restaurant needs to be improved and modernized. If there is sufficient and bright lighting, the environment will seem more attractive and lively.

✔Large signboard: Since the restaurant is a little inside the main road and many people come by car from afar, it is important to install a large and visible signboard at the intersection or in front of the restaurant. This will make it easier for new customers to find the place.

✔Air Conditioning: If at least a certain part or one floor of the restaurant can be air-conditioned (AC), customers will be able to enjoy their food comfortably even in the scorching heat. This will definitely help increase the number of customers.

✔Digital Billing System: Currently, digital billing systems are much more reliable than handwritten or verbal calculations. Introducing a computerized billing software will facilitate customers in paying their bills and the accounts will also be transparent.
