Today, I have come to participate in the Third week’s contest of Steemit Challenge Season 33 Week 3. Our dear brother @mahadisalim always presents very easy, smooth, and beautiful contests. I want to start by thanking him from the bottom of my heart, focusing today’s review on participating in today’s contest.

Bate Iliek Bathing Area is a popular tourist destination located in the Samalanga District of Bireuen Regency, Aceh. It is situated approximately 60 kilometers from my home in the city of Lhokseumawe. For the people of Aceh—especially those in Bireuen and the surrounding areas—this water-based attraction is a familiar spot. Its location is highly strategic, as it sits right beside the Banda Aceh–Medan national highway.

The presence of the Batee Iliek River, located on the border between Bireuen and Pidie Jaya, encourages many motorists to take a brief break—especially those traveling in private vehicles with their families. It is an ideal place to unwind and relax while enjoying the cool waters of the Batee Iliek River. The site boasts a unique charm, featuring refreshing water, natural shady trees, and large river stones—distinctive elements that are hard to find at other tourist attractions.

When weary from the grind of daily life, tourists often turn to nature to refresh their bodies and minds, and the Batee Iliek River serves as an excellent destination offering a rich natural experience. The river possesses a unique beauty, with currents rushing past a mix of large and small stones. The water is cold and invigorating, tempting visitors of all ages—children and adults alike—to bathe and play in the stream. However, following the flash floods that struck Aceh a few months ago, there are noticeably fewer stones remaining in the river.

The Batee Iliek River in Samalanga is an affordable tourist attraction accessible to people from all walks of life. Visitors can enjoy the site with their families and play freely in the water without incurring high costs. Despite the low price, visitors need not worry about the supporting facilities in the Batee Iliek area; a spacious and comfortable prayer room is available for worship, and the restrooms and bathing facilities are adequate and well-maintained. Visitors can use these public facilities at no extra charge, though voluntary contributions are welcome.

Stalls selling a variety of food and beverages line the banks of the Batee Iliek River. Prices are reasonable, making them affordable for visitors from diverse backgrounds. Parking for four-wheeled vehicles costs IDR 5,000 (equivalent to 7.56 Steem). This fee ensures vehicle security, allowing visitors to relax without worry. The site also offers Instagram-worthy photo spots that are hard to find at other tourist attractions.
