Review:
Meena Bazar is a great place for people to shop from and being a beautiful place gives the supermarket an edge over others. You're right with your viewpoints based on modern facilities, but you thought of how low income earners will survive if supermarkets replace local businesses? I think balancing both will be better.
@josepha, thank you so much for the excellent assessment and for raising such a thought-provoking issue about low-income people. I completely agree that the best approach is to strike a balance between the two. In my opinion, the solution lies in “coexistence, not replacement”. While supermarkets offer a standard shopping experience and modern conveniences, local businesses are the backbone of our communities; they offer flexible pricing and essential credit facilities that supermarkets cannot. And local businesses maintain an inter-relationship with customers. A healthy economy needs both supermarkets to drive quality and innovation, and local markets to ensure affordability and support the grassroots. Your insights have really deepened my perspective on this issue!
