Assalamu Alaikum, I hope you are all well, Alhamdulillah I am also healthy and well. I am very happy to participate in the competition organized by the Green Explorer team in the first week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 31. The theme of this week is "SLC31-W1 | THE GREEN JOURNEY | The Art of Observation". And a big thank you to both @bijoy1 and @muzack1 sir for organizing such a beautiful competition. In today's busy and digital life, we are constantly losing the small magical moments of nature. But today's 'Green Journey' challenge was a little different - an attempt to get to know nature anew with just our eyes and mind, without phones or lenses. So let's get started...!

🗺️ My destination and digital detox experience

To complete this challenge today, I chose this 'Nahid Picnic Spot' located in front of Konda Union, across the Buriganga River in Fatulla, Narayanganj district.

Transportation: From Fatulla to Nahid Picnic Spot.

  • Destination: To go to Nahid Picnic Spot, you first have to reach the Fatulla Buriganga River trawler ghat. Then from there you have to cross the Buriganga River by trawler or boat. After getting down from the boat to the ghat, the road to Konda Union is in front of you. However, you can easily get a rickshaw or easy bike (auto) at the ghat. And if you tell the auto rickshaw driver 'Nahid Picnic Spot', they will drop you directly at the gate of the spot. It takes only 5-10 minutes to reach the spot from the ghat. However, it will cost you a total of 15-20 taka to cross the Fatulla Buriganga River trawler and come here by auto rickshaw.

  • My personal tips: The afternoon view can be enjoyed very well while crossing the Buriganga River by trawler or boat. And since this spot is very close to Konda Union, you don't have to worry about transportation at all. However, those who want to go to this Nahid picnic spot with their own bike, they can easily reach the spot directly via the Keraniganj road via Dhaleshwari Bridge.

When my friend and I reached this Nahid picnic spot, as per the terms of the challenge, we took our smartphones out of our pockets, placed them on the green grass in the field, and sat quietly in the lap of nature for exactly 15 minutes. At first, my hands kept going to the phone out of habit, but thinking about the challenge of the competition, I didn't pick up the phone, but after a while when I calmed down, I felt a strange peace. I sat in the field and listened to the gentle rustling of the wind and the chirping of birds from afar, which was very pleasant to hear.

🍃 My own deep observation: The extraordinary among the ordinary

I crossed the Fatullah Buriganga River to reach Nahid Picnic Spot, where my friend and I sat in silence for 15 minutes in the green fields. I noticed 3 things very closely, which I had never noticed so closely before. The three things I noticed are detailed below:👇

The raft of white clouds and the green fields below

  • The sky and the greens are a match: Nahid Picnic Spot When my friend and I sat in a corner of the green grassy field and looked up at the sky. Then we saw that we looked very small between the white clouds and the green grass below, but then we felt happy. When the tips of the grass were sparkling as the afternoon sunlight fell on them, that scene seemed more beautiful than any edited photo.

Dry leaves lying on the grass

39552.jpg
  • Intricate design on the leaf: We were sitting under a tree in a corner of the field at Nahid Picnic Spot for some time. Just then, my eyes fell on a dry leaf lying on the grass. I immediately picked up the dry leaf from the grass. As I held the dry leaf against the sun, the fine veins and sub-veins inside it became clear. At that moment, I felt like it was a strange geometric map drawn by a skilled artist. In a word, this craftsmanship of nature is truly incomparable and incomparable.

Tiny ants are gathering food in groups.

  • The Great Battle of the Little Ants: There is a food stall in the middle of the field at Nahid Picnic Spot. As we approached the food stall, a group of red ants were dragging a piece of food several times larger than themselves right at my feet. The sight of their teamwork and helping each other gave me a new lesson in hard work and unity. And I especially liked the scene of these ants carrying the piece of food in a group.

📖 My feelings and real experiences: Some private time with nature one late afternoon

Leaving the hustle and bustle of our city behind, today I set off towards Konda Union along the banks of the Buriganga River. Only the middle path excited me. We reached Nahid Picnic Spot in Konda Union and entered. As we sat on the green grass, I felt as if I had entered a peaceful realm away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I usually use my phone camera to take pictures. But today, amidst this beautiful nature, I started collecting the scenes around me in my mental album without a camera.

Nowadays, we are so blinded by the fascination of the digital world. We only see it, but we do not feel it. At this Nahid picnic spot, the leaves of various trees have fallen and made a carpet on the grass. When I sat in the field and closed my eyes, I felt the afternoon breeze taking away my fatigue. These 15 minutes made me understand very well how mechanical we have become in our lives in the current digital age.

Even while sitting in the field, I noticed the sky, how the colors of the clouds in the sky were slowly turning red. Usually, I would have taken pictures of this scene with my phone, but today I just stared. Even though there were five to ten visitors walking around inside the Nahid picnic spot, the atmosphere was quite calm. However, a family who had come to spend time here, a small child among them, was playing on the grass, their laughter combined with the silence of nature and created a wonderful atmosphere. When I came up from the field, my mind felt very light and refreshed. Today I realized anew the eternal truth that nature can recharge us all without any charge.

I recorded a 1 minutes video of my visit to the Nahid picnic spot. You can watch the video here.👇

A truly beautiful account of the place you visited with your friends. You shared such detailed descriptions of the area, but one of the photos you posted is a bit blurry, which detracts from its quality—even though it’s actually a unique shot. The story ends on a cheerful note as you describe being in a place that’s truly beautiful to enjoy, especially in the afternoon.
