Today I am here to join SLC31-W2| The Curious Explorer. This week theme is offbeat landmarks Today I will present about a Martyr monument located in Madhabdi. Let's get started.

01 What kind of Offbeat Landmarks have you visited? Briefly introduce yourself. |
|---|
I went today to review the Shaheed Minar located in Madhabdi, which is situated within the premises of Madhabdi High School. The school has a large field, and this Shaheed Minar is an important landmark in the area. It is very close to the Madhabdi market. This Shaheed Minar was established in the premises of Madhabdi High School and constructed in 1980. Built in memory of the language martyrs of 1952, this monument holds deep emotional significance for students and local people. On February 21st, International Mother Language Day, flowers are offered here in tribute. It is designed in the style of the central Shaheed Minar, where the large pillar in the center represents the mother, and the smaller pillars beside it symbolize the children. The red sun behind represents our spirit of independence.

02 How were the activities, services and facilities place? (With pictures + prices, videos) |
|---|
Here, large events or Eid prayers, as well as various social activities, are held. Local clubs organize football and cricket tournaments. In the afternoon, it becomes the main place for local people to walk and chat. Since the Shaheed Minar is located at one corner of this field, flower offerings and discussion meetings are organized here every year on February 21st, International Mother Language Day. The mayor of Madhavdi municipality, along with representatives of various political and social organizations, pays homage to the language martyrs here.

03 What did you learn about the history of that place? |
|---|
The field is not just a geographical location; it is a significant school of life and tradition. There are primarily three important educational aspects in this place. The martyr memorial standing in this ground reminds us of the heroic tale of our language movement, teaching students how essential it is to sacrifice for the preservation of one's mother tongue and rights. On February 21, by laying wreaths, a sense of patriotism and nationalism is instilled in the next generation. The massive Eid congregation and various social events held in this field teach us the strategies of working together with others through playing football or cricket in the field and reaching a common goal.
