Assalamu Alaikum!

How are all my Steemit friends? I hope you are all well by the grace of Allah. I am also completely fine, thank God. The diary game I am sharing today is a celebration of my nephew's wedding and I hope you will like my diary game today.

As soon as I woke up in the morning, I started preparing for the wedding. The preparations included ironing clothes, taking a bath, polishing shoes, using a toothbrush, cutting hair, and getting my beard trimmed. After doing all these things, I started preparing for the wedding at 10 a.m. The rest of my family also prepared for the wedding, including my father, my brother, my mother, and my nephews. We all finished our wedding preparations by wearing new clothes and shoes.

The wedding preparations were complete and we all left for the wedding house together. We were going to the bride's house. All our family members were going to the wedding house with their children. Everyone was very happy. When we reached the wedding house, the first thing we saw there was food for children, such as kulfi cones, namko, papad, lees, salientes. All these things were set up in different stalls. As soon as we left, the children started insisting on us that we have to buy kulfis, we have to buy papad, we have to eat namko, but we stopped them saying that you will ruin the clothes, but they did not stop. They started insisting on eating the same things again and again.

As soon as we went there, we gave each of the children and adults a kulfi because it was summer and the heat was getting quite intense. We ate and enjoyed the kulfis. After eating the kulfis, we still had a lot of work to do.
The wedding owners asked us to work as administrators, so all of us brothers and cousins did different jobs together. My brother went to pick up four pies with his cousins. I, along with the rest of the people, would wash the meat in tubs of water and cook the pots. Whatever was needed, they would tell me and I would take that thing and give it to them from home. In the same way, we performed some duties while doing this work.

A huge venue was set up for the men, with tables and chairs set up. When we reached there, it was 12 o'clock and the venue was completely empty. No one had arrived yet. There were some children playing in the venue. The tables, chairs and the venue itself were set up very beautifully, with a stage set up on the stage, and chairs and tables for the groom were set up on the stage. Here are some pictures of the venue that I am going to share.

When the roti and chicken were cooked and ready, we filled three to four tubs with water and placed them in the pandal and put ice in them. Then, there were five or six people at each table. We started pouring water from the tubs into jugs and placing them on the tables. We three to four people got involved in this work and completed our work in four to five minutes. As we kept placing these water jugs on the tables, people started drinking that water because the heat was very high and people were also thirsty.
After that, the rotis, which were packed in wrappers, started being placed on the tables. When the rotis etc. were finished, then the curry trays were also placed on the tables and people started eating. Everyone ate their fill.

There is also a tradition of Niwanda at weddings in our Punjab. In this tradition, after eating the food, people give some money to the bride and groom as a donation, which is regularly noted on the copy. And when another family gets married, the first family member who received the money, after looking at the copy, gives them a little more than the money they had given. In this way, this tradition is spreading as a donation, which is called Niwanda in our language. So the wedding owners made me sit for this task. They gave me a pencil copy and a plate. I got my cousin with me. He used to collect the money and I used to write the names of these people and the amount of money they gave on the copy. In this way, I also performed this duty.

When we finished the work of the representative, everyone had eaten bread etc. and the rest of us were living off food and those who had fed everyone were living. So at the end of all, we ate food. After eating food, the people who were dismantling the venue came. They asked us for permission to remove our belongings, chairs, tables and the venue. We gave them permission and they got busy doing their work. Thus, our wedding function was almost complete. After eating food, we had to hand over the not-so-good amount of money, the copy and pencil to the wedding owners. So they asked us to wait for an hour. After an hour, we called the wedding accountant and collected and completed the entire calculation, page by page, and he told him. The amount that was made on the copy was one lakh 64 thousand 500 rupees. We gave that amount to the wedding owner and asked him to count it. When he counted it, the amount was complete and he thanked us and we were free from our work.

It was afternoon when we returned home after the wedding. As soon as we reached home, Abu Jan told us that there were goats grazing there, you should go there to take care of them. So I got my cousin with me and took my two nephews and went to the fields. When we reached the fields, we grazed the goats together with the children. The fields where the goats were grazing were chili fields. We picked those chilies and gave them to our children and they started playing with them. So I took some pictures of the children playing, which I have started sharing below.

When we were free after grazing the goats, it was evening and the Maghrib call to prayer was being made. Then we brought the goats home and tied them to their respective places. Then some guests arrived. We chatted with them, ordered cold drinks for them, gave them to drink, and ordered some fruits for them to eat, and they fed them. And thus our wedding day was complete.

This was my today's diary game in which I have described my nephew's wedding and all the interesting aspects and I have captured the work and interesting opportunities I got at this wedding and shared them in today's diary game and I hope you will have a lot of fun after visiting my today's diary game.
