Finalmente Beatrice Venezi, direttore d'orchestra del teatro La Fenice di Venezia e' stata sollevata dall'incarico dal sovraintendente della Fondazione dopo alcune sue dichiarazioni ad un giornale argentino in cui accusava di nepotismo i suoi orchestrali.

La differenza fra fare il ministro e il direttore d'orchestra e' che mentre il ministro, soprattutto della cultura, in Italia lo puo' fare qualunque decerebrato, Giuli o Sangiuliano che sia, per fare il direttore d'orchestra essere amica della Meloni non dovrebbe fare curriculum.
Oltre alle capacita' un direttore d'orchestra dovrebbe godere della fiducia dei suoi orchestrali, se sei a capo di uno staff o lo staff ti stima e ha fiducia in te o sei fottuto.

Lo dico con cognizione di causa, gestisco equipe da una vita, fra pochi giorni ricopriro' di nuovo quel ruolo, o lo staff e' con me o, se e' contro di me, non vado da nessuna parte.
Nel mondo reale, soprattutto in ambito artistico servono competenze, devi essere enormemente bravo soprattutto a quei livelli, se non lo sei ma vieni messo in quel ruolo per...motivazioni politiche allora o dimostri di meritarti lo scranno oppure sei col culo per terra.

Finalmente e' stato posto rimedio ad un errore che tutti avevano fatto notare, al di la' della politica.
Secondo orchestrali e pubblico la Venezi non era all'altezza di quel ruolo, che ogni tanto vinca le meritocrazia e' un bene.
E' anche un segnale che, oggi, essere amico di chi e' in caduta libera, porta male.
Meglio tardi che mai.

Finally, Beatrice Venezi, conductor of the La Fenice Theater in Venice, has been relieved of her duties by the Foundation's superintendent following statements she made to an Argentine newspaper accusing her orchestra members of nepotism.

The difference between being a minister and a conductor is that while any brainless person, Giuli or Sangiuliano, can be a minister in Italy, especially of culture, to be a conductor, being friends with Meloni shouldn't be a good thing.

Beyond ability, a conductor should enjoy the trust of his orchestra members. If you're in charge of a staff, either the staff respects you and trusts you, or you're screwed.

I say this with full knowledge of the facts: I've been managing teams all my life, and in a few days I'll be back in that role. Either the staff is with me, or if they're against me, I'm not going anywhere.
In the real world, especially in the artistic field, you need skills. You have to be incredibly good, especially at those levels. If you're not, but you're put in that role for...political reasons, then either you prove you deserve the seat or you're out cold.

A mistake that everyone had pointed out, regardless of politics, has finally been remedied.
According to the orchestra and the public, Venezi wasn't up to the role; it's a good thing that meritocracy sometimes wins.
It's also a sign that, these days, being friends with someone in free fall is a bad omen.
Better late than never.
