Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

Da quant'è che non parliamo di altseason?

L'aspettiamo da tanto, ma questa volta non è stato come nei cicli passati quando ogni volta che Bitcoin iniziava a salire, arrivava l'altseason.

Questa volta in molti abbiamo perso le speranze.

Viviamo di bei ricordi, di quelle altcoin che hanno registrato performance incredibili, e qualcuno ci è diventato ricco.

Leggevo una analisi recente di Messari molto interessante, che confronta proprio le performance delle altcoin rispetto a Bitcoin. (Rif.)
E negli ultimi due anni solo 22 token sono riusciti a fare meglio di Bitcoin.

Se pensiamo che durante il bull market del 2020-2021 erano addirittura 187, la differenza è enorme.

E c'è un altro dato che fa riflettere: circa l'86% dei token che nel 2021 avevano battuto Bitcoin ha poi perso almeno il 90% rispetto al proprio massimo storico.

Questo non significa che le altcoin siano destinate a fallire o che non possano offrire grandi opportunità.

Significa però che battere Bitcoin nel lungo periodo è molto più difficile di quanto sembri.

E lo so, alla fine porto sempre l'acqua al mio mulino...😅

La verità è che molte altcoin vivono una fase di forte entusiasmo legata a una narrativa del momento: DeFi, NFT, metaverso, AI... Ogni ciclo ha i suoi protagonisti.

Ma quando il mercato cambia, spesso cambiano anche i vincitori.

Bitcoin, invece, continua ad attraversare un ciclo dopo l'altro. Scusate se è poco...

Bitcoin non è la criptovaluta che cresce di più in un determinato mese o anno, è vero, può essere volatile e attraversare anche forti correzioni, però è quella che, finora, ha dimostrato la maggiore capacità di resistere al tempo.

Chi è nel mondo crypto da qualche ciclo probabilmente lo ha già sperimentato.

Molti token che sembravano destinati a dominare il mercato oggi sono quasi scomparsi, mentre Bitcoin continua a essere il punto di riferimento dell'intero settore.

"Quale progetto sarà ancora qui tra dieci anni?"

E chi lo sa. Io non ho la risposta.

So solo che nel mondo crypto trovare il prossimo vincitore, l'Altcoin che farà 100x, è difficile.
Ma essere resilienti nel tempo lo è ancora di più.

How long has it been since we talked about altseason?

We’ve been waiting for it for a long time.

But this time it hasn’t been like previous cycles, when every time Bitcoin started to rise, altseason seemed to follow.

This time, many of us have started to lose hope.

We are living a bit on past memories, remembering those altcoins that achieved incredible performances and made some people rich.

I was reading a very interesting recent analysis by Messari, which compares the performance of altcoins against Bitcoin. (Ref.)

The data is quite surprising: over the last two years, only 22 tokens have managed to outperform Bitcoin.

If we think that during the 2020-2021 bull market there were as many as 187, the difference is huge.

And there is another figure that makes you think: around 86% of the tokens that had outperformed Bitcoin in 2021 have since lost at least 90% from their all-time highs.

This does not mean that altcoins are destined to fail or that they cannot offer great opportunities.

It simply means that beating Bitcoin over the long term is much harder than it seems.

And I know, in the end I always end up making the case for Bitcoin... 😅

The truth is that many altcoins experience a phase of strong enthusiasm driven by the narrative of the moment: DeFi, NFTs, the metaverse, AI... Every cycle has its own protagonists.

But when the market changes, the winners often change too.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, continues to go through one cycle after another. Not bad...

Bitcoin is not the cryptocurrency that grows the most in every single month or year. That’s true. It can be volatile and go through major corrections, but so far it has demonstrated something important: the ability to stand the test of time.

Those who have been in crypto for several cycles have probably already experienced this.

Many tokens that seemed destined to dominate the market have almost disappeared today, while Bitcoin continues to be the reference point for the entire industry.

"Which project will still be here in ten years?"

Who knows. I don’t have the answer.

I only know that in the crypto world, finding the next winner, the altcoin that will do a 100x, is difficult.

But finding something capable of surviving through different cycles is even harder.
