I know from experience that infrequent and quick melting snow is far worse than a winter full of snow. Vancouver is a similar climate to London, and when it snows once or twice a year, people forget how to drive, they have no clue what to wear on their feet, and they more or less believe the world is ending. In Saskatchewan, there is snow for 8 months of the year and it becomes old hat.

Soon, however, it will be so hot in Saskatchewan that we can barely suffer to be outside. :-P Two extremes.
