I bought my father a semi-dumb Nokia phone because he doesn't want to use his smartphone for calling and texting

My father wants a basic phone again and I guess that this will be the third time that I will buy him one again because he simply doesn't want to use his smartphone for calling and texting considering that he can be using Messenger to face-to-face call my mother which he always does when we are in the dialysis clinic to tell her that I was hooked-up at this time or that time so my mother would know and things like that.
The basic phone is this Nokia and it is not as basic because it had a Wi-Fi connectivity although it is not really recommended to browse the Internet or use Facebook with this type of feature phone.
I bought my father one because he keeps on insisting it for the reason that actually the old one that he is using was from my mother and it had already a bulging battery and could pose a danger if it is kept on being charged since my father has a habit of using his phone while charging despite that I am telling him not to do so because it will degrade the battery.
Anyway, this Nokia 215 model uses the 4G connectivity and will be useful when the 2G and 3G is phased-out in my country's telecommunication system. I think that the 3G Band is already not usable anymore or taken-off already by the telcos while I guess the 2G is still OK but will also follow suit maybe later this year. If that happens, the people who didn't or was not able to upgrade their 2G and 3G only SIM cards will not be able to use them anymore together with the GSM and 3G only basic phones.
I am glad that I was able to unbind my 3G only SIM card from one of my important accounts which I was having a trouble in unbinding because of some reason until I was able to do it and use my other 4G-ready SIM card, so in that way I will not get the big problem of that particular important account.
It seems also that it is hard to upgrade the SIM card and convert it to 4G-ready because the sales agents as I had read in Reddit, are forcing the customers to get a postpaid line which will cost them some money while the upgrade of the SIM cards will actually cost almost free if not having a minimal charge.
Now since I was able to unbind my old SIM from my important accounts I will just let it die on its own despite that I want to use it indefinitely or wanted it to get upgraded but I just have to choose not to because I might encounter what I had said above about the sales agents of the telcos scamming me about converting it into a postpaid account and then reverting it back to prepaid which will again cause me to travel again to the business center and the might scam me again.
Anyway, the phasing-out of the GSM 2G and 3G bands according to that government is to cut the scam-related attacks to people using the said bands because such bands have a particular vulnerability that they wanted to eliminate which I will not discuss here.
