The diary game: (27/5/2026) CELEBRATING CHILDREN'D DAY AND SALLAH DAY. A FUN FILLED DAY

Here's a recap of how I spent my day. Today 27th May is set aside to celebrate all the children in Nigeria and sallah day happens to fall on the same day for this year. So I'll like to say Happy children's day to all the amazing children in Nigeria and Barka da sallah to all Muslims.
I had ordered a little gift for my little nephew to celebrate him and he loved it. The box contained some chocolates, a mini cake, crackers etc. I loved the excitement in his voice when his mom called to thank me.
Now let's get into my day, I woke up a bit late today since I wasn't going to work. I just layed in bed scrolling through my phone. I'm not a Muslim but I shared in the celebration and decided to make smokey Nigerian jollof rice with chicken. I have posted a blog on the whole cooking process, do well to check it out. So around 11am I made this delicious party jollof rice and the whole cooking took about two hours or more. And trust me, my meal came out super delicious. And I devoured it and stepped it down with a can of chill malt, today was meant for enjoyment so I made sure I enjoyed myself.

After eating, I rested for a while and in the afternoon my friend called me that I should get ready that we are going out to have some fun. So I had my bath and got dressed. We ordered an Uber and off we left. We went to a recreational park just for sight seeing and I had so much fun. The were so many people at the park since today is sallah celebration. The was so much to see and laugh about.
We spent like three hours outside and it was time to go home. My friend ordered some parfait for us while we were taking the Uber back and I really loved it. We left the park around 5.30pm, we didn't want to stay out too late because we knew that soon traffic will build up on the road and it will be stressful to get back home.

I was exhausted when I got home and I quickly had my bath. It started raining heavily and I was thankful because the rain didn't meet us while we were till out. The crowd outside today was massive so with the rain.....that would have meant serious traffic and I would have gotten home late. I was still somehow filled, of course the parfait was really filling so for dinner I just had some bread and avocado and a bottle of water. I love avocado so so much, who doesn't love avocado? Hahaha

Despite being so tired, I decided to update y'all how my day went before I'll retire to bed. I had so much fun today and I hope you enjoyed your day as well? It's still raining heavily and there's power supply currently so I just can't wait to sleep. The weather is cold and I know I'll sleep good.
