Hello Steemians, welcome to my blog. Happy new month once again

‎Today was truly a fulfilled day for me. Why? Because I was able to accomplish everything I had planned to do. From morning till night, each hour felt purposeful, and I ended the day with a sense of quiet satisfaction.

‎The morning came as it always does, calm and steady. I woke up feeling strong and healthy, which I never take for granted. I went through my daily morning routine without rushing: prayer, a bit of stretching, and a simple breakfast. There’s something grounding about starting the day with the same familiar rhythm.

‎After that, I found time to play with my daughter all through the morning. We laughed, we chased each other around the compound, and I watched her imagination take over every game. Those moments remind me why I work so hard, family first, always. Playing with her sets the tone for my day. It fills me up before I step out into the world.

Playing with Prominent

‎When noon came around, I took my shower and got ready to go out. My mission for the day was clear: art materials hunting in Ikot Ekpene town. I had a commission job waiting, and I needed specific supplies to do it well, charcoal pencils and good drawing paper.

‎The weather was perfect for the trip. The day was bright and sunny, with a beautiful blue sky that made everything look lighter. I stepped out of the house and boarded an okada, popularly called a bike, heading to Ikot Ekpene. The wind on my face and the open road made the ride feel refreshing.

‎When I got to town, the real work began. I trekked all around Ikot Ekpene, moving from one shop to another, searching for charcoal pencils and quality paper. It turned out to be more difficult than I expected. I spent more money than I planned on transport alone, going from Gibbs Street to Udua Mbakara and even to Market Square. It was a herculean task, and it nearly took up the entire day. Despite checking several art and stationery shops, I still couldn’t find genuine charcoal pencils anywhere.

At the market square

‎Finally, after hours of searching, I found what I could: a fake Mont Marte charcoal pencil on Udua Mbakara and a sheet of chipboard at Gibbs street. It wasn’t ideal, but I had to make do. The stress was real, but I told myself that missing materials would not stop me from keeping the other important commitment I had for the day, the local assembly meeting at the Kingdom Hall.

‎With my materials in hand, I boarded another bike heading back toward Ikono. It was around 4:00 p.m., so I was not late. I arrived at the Kingdom Hall just as the meeting was starting. I sat down, listened painstakingly to the teaching, and let each point sink in. The talks were timely and encouraging. There’s a unique peace that comes from being in that environment after a long, stressful day outside. Every moment in the meeting felt like a reset for my mind and spirit.

After meeting

‎After the meeting ended, one of the brothers kindly offered to take me home on his bike. The ride was smooth and safe, and I was grateful for the fellowship. By the time I got home, the evening had set in.

‎I had my dinner, then went out briefly to charge my phone. On my way, I was struck by the view of the sunset. Warm orange and gold spreading across the sky. It was too beautiful not to capture, so I took a picture to share with you all here. Nature has a way of rewarding you after a long day.

‎When I got back home, I sat down and drafted this post before sleeping. Looking back, I can say it was a fulfilled day: time with my daughter, progress on my art work, perseverance in town, spiritual encouragement at the meeting, and a peaceful end at home.

‎That’s how my day went. What about you? How was your day?
