A DRY LEAF...

in WORLD OF XPILAR7 days ago

Hello everyone!!!
Sometimes, don't we all feel like everyone else in the world is happy? Like everyone is living a beautiful, fulfilling life except us. We feel frustrated by everything, irritated by everything, and somehow dissatisfied with our own lives. This picture reminds me of that feeling. I clicked this picture without thinking much about it. At the time, it was just another photo. But every time I look at it now, it speaks to me differently.

It reminds me of how often we believe that everyone around us is doing well while we are the only ones struggling. The background is lush, green, and full of life. Yet in the middle of it lies a single dry leaf. Sometimes, that's exactly how we see ourselves a dry leaf in a world full of greenery.
But why do we feel this way?
I think it begins when we overthink, compare ourselves to others, or feel that the things we truly want are out of our reach. Instead of appreciating what we already have, we focus on what we don't. We spend so much time thinking about things beyond our control that we slowly convince ourselves everyone else is happier than we are.
From my personal experience, one reason could be routine. When we spend months living the same routine without change, excitement, or new experiences, we become emotionally exhausted. We wake up, go through our responsibilities, survive another day, and repeat it all again. When we stop making time for ourselves and forget that we also need rest, joy, and moments to simply breathe, it's easy to believe that everyone else is enjoying life while we're only surviving it. I'm not saying this is the only reason. Overthinking and unnecessary comparison are major reasons too. We notice everything good in other people's lives but overlook the blessings in our own. There are probably many more reasons, and I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Why do we sometimes feel like everyone else is happy except us? Why does it seem as though everyone else's life is perfectly put together while ours feels incomplete? Why do we feel like the one dry leaf in a garden full of green?
Whenever I look at this picture, another thought comes to my mind. Nature is beautiful, no matter how we choose to look at it. Every photograph reflects not only what we see but also the way we think.
The green grass is beautiful.
The dry leaf is beautiful too.
Neither takes away from the beauty of the other.
That reminds me that everything in this world has its own kind of beauty. Every person, every animal, every bird, every living thing is different, yet each has its own place and purpose. The world is complete because of those differences. So even if we sometimes feel like the dry leaf, it doesn't mean our lives have any less value.
A dry leaf is still part of nature.
It still belongs.
It still has beauty.
And maybe we do too.
We don't have to be the brightest flower or the greenest tree to live a beautiful life. We can create beauty in our own way and make our lives meaningful in our own way. Even if we are the dry leaf, we can still be beautiful.
Btw I really love this picture. I even have it as my Instagram profile picture and my phone wallpaper....

The dry leaf stands out against the green of the grass.

Your words are profound and they speak a lot to me. I can imagine your feelings. Sometimes, it is our thoughts that do not want to go beyond the limits, and when we think beyond our limits, we find ourselves happy. Overthinking is the worst part of human life. I think this human perspective, destroys happiness and takes a turn in a person's life, leaving the person completely different. But again, it is still in our hands how we control ourselves and our emotions.

Yes, overthinking can change our lives without us even realizing when it started or how we became this way. I don’t think controlling it is easy, but I also don’t think it’s impossible....
