What is moving in the video?

The main source of movement in this 47-second micro-film is the camera. Here I have used first person point of view (pov), where the camera acts as one's eyes. The video starts with a slow walk (forward walk). In the middle of the walk, a strange sound suddenly makes the camera turn to the left (quick pan), and towards the end, the camera starts shaking violently while running (shaky running movement), and the video ends with the camera hitting the ground.

Why did I choose this location

This place is just 5 minutes away from my house, the name of this house is 'Sikder Bari'. Earlier, the landlords used to live here, but now they have left because of the landlord trend. And I have seen this place lying empty since I was born. And I chose this place because it will have a horror vibe for my video. This place is perfect for portraying the mysterious atmosphere and feeling of loneliness of my story.

My cinematic thinking and the role of movement

I wanted to create a thriller atmosphere through this video presentation. Here, the camera movement is not just a scene, but it is the main driving force of the story. The sudden transition from walking slowly to running - expresses the fear and excitement in the mind of the character. At the very end, the camera suddenly falls to the ground and goes dark will give a big shock to the audience, which is the usual style of thriller stories.

How I made the video

I shoot this video in the afternoon but converted it to night by color grading in this video. I used vn for color grading and capcut for video editing and sound effects. I could have participated in this competition two days earlier, but my internship is going on, due to which I delayed my participation in the contest by two or three days. I invited my 3 friend :

Evaluation — CineAtlas 60 (Week 5: Movement Scene)

Post: @bokhtiar1444 — "SC-S30 | CineAtlas 60 Week 5 - Movement Scene | A Night Of Terror"

Evaluation Summary (Week 5)

Criteria (Rubric /10)ScoreShort Comments
1) Weekly rule respected (Movement Scene + 20–60 sec + required links) / 32.9 / 3.0All required elements are present. The 47-second film clearly makes movement the heart of the scene through POV walking, turning, running, and falling.
2) Story clarity & creativity / 21.9 / 2.0Very clear and creative concept. Turning simple camera movement into a horror micro-story is smart and effective.
3) Video execution (framing, stability, focus, visual impact) / 21.8 / 2.0The movement is controlled with purpose, and the horror atmosphere is strong. Minor deduction because the style depends heavily on editing and effects rather than visual complexity in the location itself.
4) SteemAtlas pin quality (relevant description + correct location) / 11.0 / 1.0The pin is present with coordinates and location details, and the abandoned place fits the concept very well.
5) Presentation (photos, clean structure) / 10.9 / 1.0Good structure, clear explanation, and relevant supporting photos.
6) Engagement (Shot Breakdown comments on others) / 10.8 / 1.0Two comment slots are included, meeting the minimum structure. Minor deduction because the actual breakdown depth is not fully visible here.

Final Score: 9.3 / 10

General Comment

A very strong and memorable Week 5 entry. The POV camera movement is used with real intention, and the horror idea turns a simple location into a cinematic mini-thriller. The concept is creative, well executed, and much more story-driven than most entries of the week.

The location selection is also perfect. Abandoned Sikder Bari The secluded atmosphere of the video makes the video more mysterious. And the color grading to transition the day shot to night is pretty cool it reinforces the horror vibe of the whole video.

Excelente video. Aquí hay bastante movimiento aunado al terror. Me hizo recordar una película sobre una bruja. Saludos cordiales.
