Hello Steemian friends,
I am very happy to participate in the third week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 31. The main theme of this week is "SLC-S31W3 - My taste My Culture; Festive Foods". I sincerely thank @alexanderpeace ma'am for organizing such a beautiful competition. We have learned a lot in the last few weeks, but this week is my favorite; because it is decorated with festivals and those special festive foods, which have been giving us endless joy since childhood.

It is Sunnah to eat sweet food before going to the Eid prayer congregation in the morning on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr. In continuation of this Sunnah, every Muslim family organizes a special event of Semai along with dates. Among the various delicious recipes of Semai, 'Nabawi Semai' is currently one of the most popular and popular. All guests who come to the house on the day of Eid are entertained with this noble Semai, which plays an important role in strengthening the bond of mutual communication and brotherhood. It is a traditional tradition and culture of the Muslim family, which is still going on from generation to generation. So that my Steemian friends can easily make and try this delicious food at home, today I am presenting the detailed cooking process along with the ingredients step by step below.
Ingredients for making Nawabi Semai
Below is a list of what is required to make this delicious "My Taste, My Culture" festive food, Nawabi Semai:

| Cloves (Long) | 3-4 Pieces |
| Bay Leaves | 2-3 Pieces |
| Soybean Oil | Small amount |
| Raisins (Kishmish) | As required |
| Water | Small amount |

Step 1: First, I heated a clean pan and added a little oil to it. Once the oil was hot, I lightly fried the bay leaves, cardamom and cloves for aroma. Then I added the laccha semai, sugar and powdered milk and fried them.

Step 2: I boiled 1 liter of milk in a clean pan with cardamom and sugar. In another bowl, I mixed custard powder and powdered milk with a little water and poured it into the boiling milk and kept stirring until it thickened.

Step 3: I cooled the fried semai. Then in a clean glass bowl, I first made a layer of semai. On top of that, I put a layer of the prepared custard and finally made another layer of semai.

Finally, I sprinkled raisins on top of the layered semai. Then I kept it in the fridge for 2-3 hours to set it well. After it cools down, it is ready to serve.

In our Bengali culture, this dish (Nabawi Semai) is usually prepared during Eid-ul-Fitr. It is our long-standing tradition and religious custom to have a sweet mouth on the holy day of Eid after a long month of fasting. Although different types of semai are cooked in Bengali homes, due to its modern and royal taste, 'Nabawi Semai' has become an essential recipe in every home for special Eid arrangements. There is no alternative to this dish to complete the joy of Eid. It is kept as a sweet mouth after meals in special hospitality, apart from Eid.

It reflects a beautiful aspect of our lifestyle our ‘spreading sweetness mentality’. Every layer of this dish seems to reflect the bond between our different generations and the unity between people from every strata of society. It is not just a dish, it is a way of celebrating our love for our heritage and the joy of the festival with our relatives and friends.

You are right that Nawabi Semai is the keeper and bearer of Bengali tradition. Nawabi Semai is a favorite dish of everyone, young and old. It is difficult to find someone who does not like this dish. The presence of this dish greatly increases sincerity among everyone.
