What do you miss about the Steemit of the past?

Hello my dear Steemians,

 

What do you miss about the Steemit of the past?

When we start anything new, we all put a lot of our own strength and time because we want to see if we will get results from our work and as you might know yourself, success is always in our own hands.

When I look back and it was the case when my hubby came to me and told that he found a social media and do you know what features he told me the platform has and how he woke up me interest?

The features were:

• unlike the Twitter and Instagram, users were writing posts about anything they like, so for people who love writing they have a great opportunity

• that there are group of people with different hobbies and they have their own tags where you can meet people with same interests but the people could be amateur and professionals

• it was the time when I started my drawing and after seeing videos with Bob Ross I was dreaming to learn more and meet people who could share their experience

• the good effect of posting is getting reward for being active

All these convinced me to start my active journey and it was about 9 years ago.

I miss the old Steemit where we had many, many users from different countries. I enjoyed the fact that there were such communities like:

• artists, writers, creative &DIY, musicians: where there were many different type arts and there were many curation accounts supporting the creative people.

I like that the curation accounts supported users without any conditions, just because they like something and for that people did not need to follow any rules.

Often I hear especially from artists that creative people can not create within some frames or restrictions but also on command.

The good side of Steemit and Steem was that the value of Steem was great, that was a main driving force for motivation of users and for new users to join.

¿Qué extrañas del Steemit de antes?

Cuando emprendemos algo nuevo, todos dedicamos mucho esfuerzo y tiempo porque queremos ver si nuestro trabajo dará frutos; y, como bien sabes, el éxito siempre está en nuestras propias manos.

Recuerdo bien cuando mi esposo se acercó y me habló de una red social que había descubierto; ¿sabes qué características mencionó y cómo logró despertar mi interés?

Las características eran:

• a diferencia de Twitter e Instagram, los usuarios escribían publicaciones sobre cualquier tema de su agrado, lo que representaba una gran oportunidad para los amantes de la escritura;

• existían grupos de personas con diversas aficiones y sus propias etiquetas (tags), lo que permitía conocer a gente con intereses comunes, incluyendo tanto a aficionados como a profesionales;

• fue justo cuando yo empezaba a dibujar; tras ver videos de Bob Ross, soñaba con aprender más y conocer a personas con quienes compartir experiencias;

• el beneficio de publicar era recibir una recompensa por mantenerse activo.

Todo esto me convenció de iniciar mi propia trayectoria activa en la plataforma, hace ya unos nueve años.

Extraño aquel Steemit de antaño, cuando contábamos con muchísimos usuarios de diversos países. Disfrutaba de la existencia de comunidades como:

• artistas, escritores, creativos y aficionados al "hazlo tú mismo" (DIY) o músicos: espacios donde se exhibían múltiples formas de arte y abundaban las cuentas de curación que apoyaban a los creadores.

Me gustaba que dichas cuentas de curación apoyaran a los usuarios sin condiciones, simplemente porque les gustaba el contenido; no era necesario seguir reglas estrictas para recibir ese respaldo.

A menudo escucho —especialmente a los artistas— decir que la creatividad no puede desarrollarse dentro de marcos rígidos, restricciones ni bajo órdenes directas.

Un aspecto positivo de Steemit y Steem era el gran valor de la moneda Steem; ese factor actuaba como el principal motor de motivación tanto para los usuarios existentes como para atraer a nuevos miembros.
