The Diary Game - [29/04/2026] - How I spent my day in my site work

Hello everyone, welcome to my diary, stay with me while I take you round on how I spent my day.

So there's a design I've been working on for some days now, so I woke up to a call yesterday and was told the building construction would commence today, so I woke up very early and prepared, got my tools ready and moved to the site, on getting to the site, site clearing was already done before now so the land was very open and ready for setting out and excavation.

So I brought out my square, measuring tape and hammer, as these are the necessary tools needed for setting out a building, my pegs was ready and ofcourse my line (rope) was all in place so the setting out could start, I picked my start point and made sure each angles are squared exactly at angle 45 using the line around it and pegs at the 4 angles since I was using a square method of setting out.

After I was done squaring the building, I now started it's partitioning, with this, I partitioned the required spaces according to the building Architectural Plan, from Verandahs, bedrooms, kitchen, w/c and the rest, after I was done with the partitioning and markings, the labourers started the foundation excavation and I had to make sure they followed the markings on ground while excavating. the excavation took some hours until they were finally done with the excavation and then I moved to the next stage which was leveling, that is the underground pegging.

I started the leveling of the foundation with the accurate use of spirit level (plumb, as for the layman), long range, I used that for the leveling, after using pegs into the ground from the first point, I placed another ahead of it and place my range ontop of it with plumb to make sure it's accurate, I did same all round the foundation till the whole foundation is levelled, meanwhile during the process, the labourers were mixing their concrete and getting it ready for the foundation base. tho it took a lot of time since that's where the work is.

After the foundation base casting, we had to close for the day since we've already achieved alot for the day, then I had to clean up myself from the dirt of the day which was already 6pm, and then I start paying my workers so everyone could go home smiling, I confirmed and made sure there was nothing missing nor my tools either then I zoomed off to my place of abode to rest for tomorrow's long day.
