The Diary Game: [08/06/2026] From Morning Fabric Hunting, To An Evening Rainstorm

Good evening, guys. I hope you all had a great day today, I welcome y'all to yet another diary session with yours truly @gbemi-sola, let's get right into it. Started day early because of my plan for the day, I had my usual morning routine, prepared my food and dished it in my cooler, got dressed and I was all set for the day. On my way to the shop, I branched at my vendor's shop to buy some sewing materials for my customer. There I was selecting the fabrics, took some pictures, and sent it to her to choose, and she settled for that. I bought lining and zipper also.

I arrived at the shop, opened the shop, did my prayers, then swept the outside and brought out the mannequin and the rest that ought to be outside. There, I was removing cobwebs with the help of my broomstick, right after that, I swept the shop and finished up with dusting.

Moving on, I started the work for the day by drafting my customer's style on the pattern. The front and back bodice, it's an half length bodice, that I'd later join to another lower part.

Right after that, I placed the front pattern on the main fabric and cut out the exact shape, I did same thing for the back pattern. Afterwards, I went ahead to cut out the lining for each piece.

It was lunch time, there I was eating my food which I prepared before leaving the house.

After I empited my cooler and ate to my satisfaction, I didn't waste time, I picked up the sides front and back lining bodice, and cut out pieces of hemming gum on the lining.

Then I went to pick up the main fabric for the sides of the front and back bodice and placed it on the lining which I had earlier put pieces of hemming gum on. This process is called fabric placement, and there I was ironing it to perfection. This helps the main fabric to sit properly on the lining, right after, they took the light.

It didn't take long before the rain started pouring. At first, it wasn't heavy but all of a sudden it started pouring heavily, which caused my ceiling to be leaking. I have complained to my landlord several times, but all he does, is to call the carpenter to come patch the roof. Atleast, the carpenter has done that four times now, but still no improvement. It made me very moody this evening, as I was in my moody state, one of my customers called me if there was light so she can come to weave some clothes and I told her there was no light. She said I should call her when they restore the light, the rain subsided and they restored the light. I had totally forgotten to call her, but she did, and it was almost closing hour. When she arrived, I had to leave my work and started weaving the clothes she brought, I had to close very late because of her. After I finished, I locked up immediately and left for home, she transferred my money to me. I got home, said hi to my family, unpacked, freshen up, washed my cooler, and I dished my food. When I finished, I went to wash my plate, and retired back to my room. I won't be staying up at all because I'm exhausted and I need my sleep badly.
